I most often use this for labeling dark colored storage totes because it stands out and you can easily read it. Sharpie brand never disappoints! No smears and quality or color is great!

I love the Silver Metallin Sharpie Markers. They work wonderful on dark items, like Black Jackets and Coats (to write the kids name inside for school); And they are wonderful for dark colored metal, plastic, etc items too. I buy them by the box. Be sure to keep them stored standing up, point down.

Love these pens but these were very old and dried out. The box was very aged looking and I tested every pen in the box and none worked for more than a few inches. They were obviously quite old and were well past their best by date. I returned them.
