I have Michelin X-Ice snow tires for my RAV4, they are supposed to be the best or at least one of the best and yet I still find that I have mediocre traction on snow and ice (slide around a bit on snowy roads, have to nearly crawl around circular on-ramps)

I have three vehicles, I have Michelin tires on all three . X Ice for winter and pilot and defenders . They stand up to all the specifics that are listed . The best tire I’ve used , no more studded winters for me ,X ice out perform and studded winter along with mor environmentally friendly. Highly recommend any of the Michelin lines .

My first exposure to Michelin tires was over 50 years ago. My Dad had an older Chrysler that used to float over the road. Typical for the period. He purchased a set of Michelin tires for the car. These tires completely changed the car. The ride immediately became significantly smoother and quieter. Any road imperfections seemed to disappear. The steering response/handling became sharper and more precise. For these reasons, every car and truck I have owned since has worn a set of Michelin tires. I also appreciate the longevity and extended wear of the tires.

I purchased these tires in December to replace the supplied mud & Snow tires on my new Rave4. These tires ride much smother than the Mud&Snow tires and were great on ice and snow over the whole winter in Manitoba. I will be keeping these tires over the full year even though they may ware a little more during the summer months. My first ice and snow tires on my old Montana lasted 90,000 km year round before getting to the wear mark.

I bought my tires last fall, and drive all winter in ice and snow conditions everyday. I start work at 5am so had to leave very early in the mornings. I was on the road some mornings before the snow-grader and had to drive in some pretty bad conditions. The tires were fantastic! I had perfect traction and felt quite secure knowing that I wouldn’t have any trouble at all in those conditions!

After having owned several generations of the Pilot Sport Alpin, my tire dealer only had the X-Ice Snows available this time. They’re great in the snow and wet, but REALLY annoying in dry handling, in that they make a lot of noise above maybe 0.3g. The Alpins NEVER exhibited this characteristic….

I have bought several sets of Michelin X-Ice snow tires over the years, they are definitely my winter tire of choice. I feel 100% safe driving in all winds and weather during our winter season with these amazing tires. It is a tire you can trust to get you where you are going. Love my Michelin X-Ice!

I have purchased Michelin Winter Tires for over a decade now. I have run X-Ice and X-Ice2 in the past on our Ford Focus and currently run Michelin Latitude X-Ice on our large SUV. After reviewing what was available we chose the Michelin X-Ice Snow SUV for our new small SUV. The grip on ice and in deep snow is excellent. Probably the best version of the X-Ice tires we have bought to date.

I’ve had X-ice’s now on two cars, my 370z and now my Elantra GT N-line and they are perfect! Never left me stuck, always providing great traction and grip in poor conditions. They are quiet and wear well. Worth every penny for the safety, security, performance and peace of mind.

I moved from the city to up North. WOW all the snow we get and ice. It snowed like almost every second day. I’m so happy l bought these tires. When l drive on the road with these tires -WOW. The car with these tires never seemed that there was any trouble with the snow or ice . I felt so safe driving my car with them on. They are worth every penny you paid for them. Especially when your love one takes the car and you know you have great winter tires with good rubber and they are going to be safe driving.
