On my third vehicle

Have had these (and previous versions) on three vehicles, now running them on a Subaru Crosstrek with a few off-road mods. Slightly louder than OEMs on pavement at freeway speeds, but far, far better off-road performance allows us to access remote trailheads and campsites we couldn't really get to before. Also, pleasantly surprised that switching from 18' OEM wheels/tires to 15" wheels/KO2s made this the most comfortable highway vehicle we've ever had, even with stiffer springs. My wife actually prefers it over her Lexus for our long road trips.

Great traction, poor wear

I have been running BFG AT's for the last decade on multiple Ford diesel trucks I have owned. I love them in rain, snow, mud and on road.....BUT I have yet to get over 30k out of any set I have ever owned. I'm due to replace them now....only have about 28k on them. 2013 f250 6.7l....and I do rotate them every other oil change. I'd love to see what this new 50k warranty covers and if I'm eligible.

Decent tire

I mainly use this tire for city and highway driving and occasional offroading as it is my daily driver. I love the look of the tire and how quiet it is on the road. Offroad use is great i love the extra protection of the sidewalls and meaty traction. My only complaint is that when driving on highway between 50 and 70 mph my truck shakes and has bad vibrations that goes throughout the truck. I had a shop look over everything suspension wise and said it was all good. Many other people i talk to say they have the same balancing issue with the bfg k02. Overall i am dissatisfied with these tires and will be buying something else in the future. Great tire for offroad but not a daily driver for any street use.

Nothing but the best!!

I have owned nothing but BFG for my truck. Keep them for 40 thousand miles, put new ones on, and resell the old ones. They run highway to get me to work. They go through the trails and corn fields to my hunting spots. Hard to believe there are negative reviews. You pay a little more, well worth it.

Louder and rougher than the old KO.

My comment is about the new BF Goodrich All Terrain KO2 in size 285/75-16 Load Range E. I don't really like them. Especially their ride quality, meaning noise, smoothness, and rut handling. I have had them on my 6000 pound midsize truck for almost 30 days now and have put over 1000 miles on them. I have tested them on highway, in the rain, off road, in packed snow, and on solid ice from freezing rain. I previously ran the BFG All terrain KO in 285/75-16 load range D. I have been through 3 sets of those with very good results. They KO2's were purchased as a new set of 4 matching tires and installed at a large well known tire retailer. I have tested them at 40 psi, and 38 psi. My opinion of the new BFG All Terrain KO2 tires compared to the original BFG All Terrain KO tires: The good; The KO2's; Had better off road traction on a dirt hill climb. Have as good or better traction in packed dry snow (20 degrees or less). Have about the same traction on solid ice (under 20 degrees). Are tougher abrasion wise, especially the sidewalls, tested that in volcanic rock. Have about the same road noise only on Smooth pavement. Seem to clean out rocks better. Seem to do better in the rain. Sidewall appearance is better. The bad; The KO2's Ride rougher over course pavement, bumps, and on dirt roads, meaning harsh, or jarring. Are noticeably louder on rough or course aggregate pavement, bumps, and dirt roads. Track poorly in ruts or along edges in pavement; this was very noticeable on rutted asphalt, on dirt trails, and on packed snow when changing lanes. Pick up and throw larger rocks then the original KO's did due to wider tread spacing. Required more weight to balance than the KO's. I think that the original KO's in load range D are a noticeably better highway tire because they had a better ride quality. They were quieter over rough pavement and softer riding over bumps and dirt roads, and they also tracked better in ruts. Not sure if this is because the new KO2's are E rated, or because of the tread design, or from the new compound. I rated them as good because I think that they would be a good tire in certain applications, like on heavier vehicles, or in the desert.

Cannot get them balance after 20k miles

Ive taken it to the shop that I got that is an actual bf goodrich dealer and apparently it just never is going to balance. They still have life, yet shake like no other. i took this off and put stock tires and the truck didnt shake one bit. I am extremely dissappointed that i can spend almost 2k on tires and have this issue not even half way through. THey have road force and balanced them multiple times. mY toyos never had this issue both sets I ran so I dont understand whats happenening here.

BFG AT/KO's

I have waited a little over a year for my other tires to finally wear out so I could finally buy the tires I have wanted for a while, the BFG KO's. It is now at the 16th of December , I have had them about 2 weeks and 2K miles later and all I can say is that these tires are awesome. I actually believe I am getting better gas mileage with them than other tires I have had on this truck or my other truck. I bought these tires because they have more tread than others and I drive a lot. Yes they are a more aggressive tire but now I can feel that my tires are actually on the ground. I am running them at 45lbs Today alone I put another 280 miles on my truck and used only about 3/8 of a tank of gas. This is rural areas of stop and go, speed limits of 35,45, and 55 and 70+ of highway driving. I love these tires. Even though I am not use to having such an aggressive tire , there is a big difference in the handling and its just something I will have to get use to. And from what I understand these will last me for awhile. All it has to do now is snow...4 wheeling and drifting ..cant wait.

Best Tires I have ever owned

I just purchased my second set of BF Goodrich tire for this truck. I use them on ALL my trucks they outlast any other tire on the market and the new K02's look and ride even better than I thought they would. I have my last set for 80,000 miles and still brought them home to put on my yard truck because they still have plenty of usable tread left on them. I would tell anyone who is looking for an AWESOME tire to give these a ride and I am sure you will buy them!

So Far - Very Good!

We put the new BFG KO2's in a 265/70 R17C (6ply) configuration on our stock 2003 Toyota 4Runner 4.7L v8 4x4 with 17" stock alloy's and have run them for just about 3500 miles running at 50 psi and have been very pleased with them so far. The size is a slight up-tic from the stock tire, but is the size recommended via a call to Michelain's customer support help-line. The clearance in the front wheel well when the tire is turned hard right or left leaves about and inch against the interior well trimming. We have not had any rubbing or collection of debris trapping therein. We chose the C class feeling it would be a good compromise given the GVW of the V8 4runner and our intended use and all-around passenger comfort as opposed to the E class 8Ply configuration. We bought the 03 4.7L V8 4x4 (108K miles) because we wanted an old school rig we could go into the hills with and not worry about putting some Colorado pinstripes on while four-wheeling through tight tree lined tracks, tow a trailer if needed and run the interstate to Denver from our home in South-Central Colorado. So Far - Very Good! Both the Rig and the Tires. We've never enjoyed, or been impressed as much with a vehicle as much as this old V8 4Runner and the BFG KO2's have simply improved the vehicle which previously had a set of Michelin all-season radials. I was very concerned about road noise with the KO2's, but decided that we were going all in for them in that we wanted a tire that would serve better, the purpose for which we'd bought the rig. These tires are amazingly quiet! And I'm terribly picky and sensitive to road noise. In my opinion their noise increase over the all-season Michelins is so minimal as not to be noteworthy. As for performance, in November we took them for a spin up the rough and rocky 4X4 track which leads to Balman Reservoir and Rainbow lake in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. We aired down to about 30 psi and were very pleased in that we weren't getting beat up by the 6ply's - this is a rough and very rocky road and the tires performed very well in dry, steep and steep track with loose gravel-scree and dirt. At higher elevation we ran into snow (perhaps 3" to start) and the tires did a great job their too. The only slippage was as we climbed in steep turning pitches where the rear end would slip a few inches out to the downhill side. Mostly due to the tracking of the trail itself. We stopped and turned back due to good sense and an extreme narrowing of the trail with a precipice on the right-hand downhill side of the track. The tires were willing; we on the other hand decided that in the fading light of day, good judgment and not the voice of the KO2's saying go for it was best. Also, upon returning to lower elevation and groomed dirt and pavement we did not observe and tire damage nor did the tread retain and gravel or rocks of any significance. - So Far- Very Good! On the highway we have enjoyed a confidant ride that does not pull or cause the vehicle to behave any differently than when we'd previously driven it on the all-season Michelins, a great tire for what they are designed to do -. As for fuel economy, if their is a negative it is negligible in that we've not noted any loss of merit in our mileage per tank - So Far - Very Good! As for paved roads and snow and ice, just last week on Saturday afternoon we happened to be obligated to drive in conditions that one would otherwise be advised to stay home and read about such adventures by a warm fire. It was Saturday, December 12th, the condition were snow, packing snow and straight-up skating rink (I've got 20 sliding, crash, ding and dent photo's to prove it!) You know, the footage you've seen scenes like it on the evening news people sliding while simply setting still - yah that stuff! The BFG KO2's were fantastic! I did put the 4runner in H-4 (four-wheel drive and but with the exception of those hard right or left turns in a tight circumference radius turn where the rear-end would give a bit of side-slip out and then recover, they instilled confidence and proved themselves a tire that, I will, without hesitation buy again and highly recommend to others.I gave the tires a 4-Star rating here as opposed to a 5 only in that we have not had them long enough to determine rubber compound longevity, overall durability and/or tread-live etc.,. All said, if you're thinking about a new All-Terrain or Snow Tire go buy BFGoodrich's All-Terrain KO2's, they will not disappoint.

Amazing Tires

Just got these out on my Jeep Wrangler and so far I love them. I went from Mud Terrain to these. The difference in ride quality is insane. These are so smooth, it’s like gliding down the road. Hardly any noise, and does great off road. Definitely highly recommend them.
