First time buying michelin tires, great overall tires, hoping to get many more years out of it.

I have driven on these for over 40K and the ride is still as smooth as when I put them on.

Tire works great on ice, snow and also preforms well on dry surfaces (gravel and pavement).

Tires are quiet, and good ...

I purchased 4 very expensive tires on 12/1 and the system indicated that they were in stock and deliverable in 2 days.  I scheduled install in 5 days. Day 4, 3 tires not 4. Day 5 no 4th tire.  Neither the store auto center, OPD, nor the online support could track the 4th tire.  12/9 and 8 days later and 2 snows and there is still no 4th tire.  I spent $40 in fuel to arrive at my scheduled installation appointment and will now have to spend more fuel should the 4th tire actually arrive.  
  As of this review, I am still waiting on my 4th tire so they can all be installed.  No fault of the auto center nor receiving or OPD, it’s all in the tracking of online orders which has a big gap in information.  
  Walmart has well over $1200 of my money and no ability to promise the arrival of my complete order.  I feel something needs to be done (possibly a customer satisfaction refund or discount ) in order to make this right.  Quality control for online orders and online customer service and empty promises leaves much to be desired.

Could be Michelin's best tire. OEM on parents '03 GMC Envoy. I normally am not a fan of OEM tires, but these were exceptional. When replacement time came, local tire shop (and Michelin experts) recommended that these tires were still the best option. Just replaced those, as my parents don't drive nearly as much in their advanced age and the tires were starting to show signs of dry rot, which I've read is normal with Michelin's high mileage tires as they just don't wear out! These newest ones are probably the best Michelin tires, and I speak from experience. Another vehicle was supplied OEM with Primacy Tours, which were trash, and I replaced with the Defender2 and while better, aren't the equal of the Defender LTX! I have another vehicle with Pilot Sport All Season 4s which might be slightly better than the Defender LTX, but I have to knock them a point as I can't get 20k miles on them. But they ARE a high performance tire, and phenomenal! The Defender LTX is incredibly quiet, smooth, and resists hydroplaning and tramlining. Haven't bee drven in the snow, but considering how excellent they are in the other 3 seasons, I'm confident they'd perform just fine in the snow. Highly recommend!
