11,000 Miles Needed 4 tires

i am a landscaper and snow removal company and I Bought these tires November of 17 and went all winter in them. great in snow in temperatures 40 and below to -5. then when April came around and it hit 65+ i chewed through the tires in a month. May 1st 2018 I had 11,254 miles on them and they were bald. Very Disappointed in them. went back to the All terrain T/A and get 35,000 plus miles based on towing 5/6 days a week.

Probably wouldn't buy this tire again

First off, let me say i liked everything about the tire while i had them. They were great in snow, great on our sloppy gravel roads when they were wet or dry, were quiet, handled nicely, all stuff i would expect from a top rated tire like the KO2. The bad part is, in my 05 chevy duramax, i only got 22000 miles on a set of four. I rotated them every 5000 miles and in 2.5 years, they were bald. I get my trucks alignment checked fairly often, and there was no uneven wear at all. I always maintained tire pressure at the recommended levels on the door sticker. They were LT265/75 r16 123/120q E rated tires. Like i said, i loved the tires except for the short life.

NOISY

Have had KO BFGs forever. Life has gotten progressively shorter and now this new version is out with ostensibly better snow performance. Unfortunately they are as noisy as cheap mud grips and do not have same solid dry road feel. I will likely never again by BFG. These are junk am changing to Coopers after 1000 miles. Another example of brand degradation!

BFG KO2 Toyota Tacoma 4x4

I recently threw some 275 17Rs on my method wheels and immediately tried to push the tires pretty hard. At high psi they corner on tarmac decently but transmit every bump right to the cabin. I keep them at around 32psi and they do roll under a little if I take a corner to fast but they arent really meant for that. I dont know about wear life yet but expect good things when looking at the old KOs. I was lucky enough to use the tires recently in both sandy conditions and muddy conditions. They did great in both and are 100x better in the mud than the outgoing KOs. As far as issues go they love to hold onto rocks until you hit 35mph where they then release them making the most harsh cabin noise from rocks being thrown into the wheel well. The other complaint is tire noise. At the psi I keep them at they are about as loud as my magnaflow and sound pretty rad until you take a 100 mile highway trip where it gets pretty annoying. In conclusion great tires with few caveats. I hope they will last me a good amount of miles considering the price tag.

Good tire on mid size truck

I’ve had these on a jeep and a chevy colorado. I’ve gotten over 50k miles out of each set. I rotate every oil change. I gave 4 stars because we actually got snow this past year and I felt like they could’ve done better but the tires had 40k something miles on them. I just replaced them with another set of ko2’s

Favorite tire

I have had 4 sets of these tires so far. Best tire I have ever had. I could say a lot more but I will say ride great, do great in rain, mud, regular street driving and gravel. My next tire will probably be a km3 though because I want a more aggressive tire. I wish they had a more extreme mud tire as well just for the selection. But ko2 do great in mud. Can’t wait to try km3 for the first time as well

Good tread life

I have had a set of these tires on a full size truck for the last 80k miles. They have performed very well on the street and good on the fire roads and light snow. I recommend them for a 4x4 that is used for general purpose . As far as something aggressive I could not be sure. Hope this helps.

Excellent TIre

I have over 90,000 on my tires and they are still not down to the wear bar. I rotate every 6,000 and they have stayed true. I do light offroading and pull a trailer from time to time, but otherwise mostly freeway. These are 305/55R20 on a 2015 F150 Platinum Leveled

All-Terrain T/A KO2 Awsome Tire

I purchased 4 KO2's for my 2000 Toyota Tundra. They ride great, are not noisy, and are good in the mud. Since we haven't had any snow yet in western PA, I haven't had a chance to play in it. I love these tires and will be purchasing a set for my 2013 Toyota Tundra after the 2016 summer. They look good, are aggressive, ride and handle well on and off road. They will be the only tires I run on my trucks. My neighbor Dave just ordered a set for his Ford based on all the positive reviews, looks and performance of these tires. Get a set you won't be disappointed. Don't forget to replace your old valve stems with high pressure ones. 80 PSI.

Imporved version of a good tire

This my second set of A/T KO's on my F250 4X4 and so fare are quieter that the previous version of the TKO. I anticipate good service from them. Considering BFG is a Michelin company I was surprised that two of the tires required an "excessive" amount of weight to balance (the retailer's words, not mine) but having weights running around 1/4 of the wheel did not seem in keeping with quality build practices I associate with Michelin. Due to my concerns and those of the retailer, the retailer did a warranty replacement after at least seeing how they rode. MUCH happier now and hope to continue using BFG tires. When choosing this tire I would suggest buyers to work with a major retailer and to insist they reject tires that take a lot of weight to get in balance.
