One of the only beers I will drink

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. What do I tell you about the classic that is New Belgium's Fat Tire Ale? Well, I'll let you know first of all that I am not a "craft beer connoisseur". I can't tell you about hoppiness, or notes of certain flavors or whatnot... I can only tell you about taste. Fat Tire tastes good. It's one of the only beers I can actually stomach. See, I think most beer tastes like, well, the fluid that comes out of most living creatures. You know, the fluid that makes yellow snow? Yeah, that's what I think most beers taste like. New Belgium's Fat Tire Ale doesn't taste like that. It tastes like beer. Good beer. Perfect for a hot summer's day. Perfect for grillin' and chillin'. Perfect for the first day of autumn. However and wherever you like to enjoy a cold one, Fat Tire was made for that. Not to mention you can feel better about yourself while drinking Fat Tire, because it's carbon neutral. If something being carbon neutral doesn't matter to you, then just drink it because it tastes good. Impress your friends, and drink something that is just fancy enough, but not too fancy. Definitely give Fat Tire a try - if I like it, there is a chance most people will.

Bring back the LONG TABLE

Can someone that brought this great company too be so good please bring back the longtable... it was the very best beer ever made... not sure why it was ever discontinued, I'd speculate it was the same dig ed dee donk that changed the original sauce of the tire ale. If your going to change it then just make a new name kind of like the grass clippings flavor of the IPA's but people love em lot if peps love grass I just don't believe they should be the flav in beer but each its own. Just bring back the LONG TABLE even if it's for a short time. Either way no one can keep close to new belgium.🫶🏿 🍻

Fat Tire

A new flagship staple that holds true to the original flagship amber. The ale is crisp, light in body, and refreshing. I feel this brew is easier to go down in succession compared to the amber. Yet, it would have been delightful to have both the amber and ale option.

Great Beer

This is one of the very first craft beers I started with. My cousin, who lived in Colorado, knew I was collecting balloon tire bicycles and bought me an advertising sign. Of course I had to try it and it's been one of my go to beers ever since. A lot of great memories go with drinking this beer.

New Fat Tire - not even close to the original

I have been drinking Fat Tire since the early 90s when my friends and I would travel to Ft Collins every summer to play golf. The original was fantastic. When it finally was distributed in Louisiana in the late 2000s, we were really excited. Many bars, restaurants and one of the casinos had it on tap. In 2021, we purchased our own kegerator and had a local liquor store keep kegs on order. Over the years the packaging and labeling changed, but the original always looked the best. The labels actually seemed simpler with less graphics and I thought this was a cost saving move. The Voodoo Ranger series of beers have much more elaborate graphics, so I can't imagine that was the case. We were definitely interested and open-minded when New Belgium changed the formula for Fat Tire. I can honestly say I tried it numerous times in bottles and cans, but it tastes nothing like the original FT. The flavor is somewhat lacking and its almost as if its flat or has been refrigerated and warmed and refrigerated again. Seeing how its not an amber ale and the flavor is so different, it should not be tied to the original Fat Tire, which New Belgium was founded. Like the "New Coke" fiasco, this should have been packaged in the Voodoo Ranger series or as some new stand-alone product. I can only assume sales are weak, as I have seen the new product "on sale" at our local liquor store and have also seen marketing flyers offering $3 off the purchase of a 12-pack. In 30+ years, I have never seen any other New Belgium product "on sale." Even if this review is not bike worthy, please bring back the original Fat Tire. If this is not possible, please just stop producing the version of Fat Tire you are currently selling, its really not a descent tasting beer and a terrible replacement for the original.

Favorite Beer

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. This is easily my favorite beer. The full bodied flavor hits the sweet-spot between light and dark beers. The clean mouth feel is complete without that feeling of "something missing" that many lighter beers have.

Classic, tasty, and refreshing!

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. The Fat Tire Ale beer is nice and crisp. It is quite enjoyable with a meal or just on its own. I also really love their packaging and the classic design. I will be repurchasing in the future!

Great simple beer

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. Pours golden clear with thin white cap from bottle to pint glass. Reminiscent of a better old school amber with bready malty notes. Beautiful amber body, clear; decent carbonation; thick, frothy head, white and sticky; fat rings of foam inside the glass. Not a bad beer, certainly not a great beer. There beer has a notable lack of oomph to it.

Top notch!

Shout out to the Jeffs that I met while snowboarding. They worked for New Belgium and gave my buddy and I a few Fat Tires. The only thing better than a beer on the mountain is a free beer on the mountain (bonus if it’s a Fat Tire). That memory is locked in place every time I sip one of these delicious cans of glory. Shoutout to the Jeffs for real.

Bring back the old Fat Tire recipe

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review: I was not a fan of this beer. There was nothing great about it. It was mediocre and uninspiring. It did not have the same bold flavor as the previous Fat Tire did. I also I did not find the new branding appealing . It looked a little childish.
