Fat Tire- my go to post ride recovery drink.

For years Fat Tire has been my post training ride recovery drink, that first sip hits hard and recovery comes fast. Then you had to go and make Voo Doo Ranger IPA and now I have to choose. Great recovery drink, you guys have outdone yourselves and now my sho fridge is stocked for when I work on bikes that I find thrown out and neglected. My last trash find turned out amazing and the beer inspired it.

Great Craft Beer

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I enjoyed this beer as it has a nice balance of flavor without being overly bitter. The finish is smooth and it would go well paired with plenty of food options. Overall this is a great craft beer.

Portnoy Scale Review of Fat Tire

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. Fat tire is a solid choice for any beer enthusiast. While it won't blow your socks off or anything, it is a dependable American beer for nearly any occasion. It seems that every beer these days tries to add odd flavors or themes in order to catch the public eye, I like that fat tire is able to just be a standard American ale without any gimmicks. That being said it has enough flavor to stand out from the competition without having extreme levels of hops that while melt your tongue. All and all I would give Fat Tire a solid 6.2 out of 10 on a Portnoy scale.

Fat Tire Ale- New Recipe

I was very skeptical when I received an email that New Belgium was changing the recipe for Fat Tire Ale. Well, my worst fears were founded. I purchased a six pack at my local store as soon as they had it in stock, and it is absolutely horrible! The original recipe for Fat Tire Ale was perfect! Why mess with it? If it's not broken-don't fix it. This was their flagship beer, the one that put them on the map. I hope they return to the original recipe, the sooner the better!

Good balanced flavor, crisp

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I was hesitant to try it. Many Colorado craft ales are very hoppy. I was pleasantly surprised. Fat Tire Ale has a balanced flavor. It has body without being heavy. It's crisp, clear with a bit of a nutty flavor.

The beer that started it all! (Almost)

Fat tire was one of the first craft beers I tried and there was no looking back! As a long islander the beer that got me into craft was Blue Points Hospital Illusion. And I thought, what a great local beer. Cool. But then! Fat tire truly opened my eyes to the world of craft beer - and even made the trip out to Colorado to do a brewery tour a few years after that! Cheers!

Same great taste

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. Fat Tire lager has long been a go to beer. It's consistently flavorful and smooth without that heavy, weigh you down feeling some full flavor beer can give you. It's a versatile beer from enjoying on a Sunday funday to an accompaniment for dinner. The packaging has been updated to a sleek modern look, but it still has the signature bicycle logo and same great taste.

Fat Tire Ale

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. This beer is not like your average beer. It is light without being watery, in fact their is a slight malty taste. It is filling without the heavy feeling. It's easy to drink and has a nice crisp finish.

Disappointed in the new Fat Tire...

I am so disappointed in the new Fat Tire. Admittedly, I'm an older part of the market segment, but it's been my favorite beer for over two decades. I did a side-by-side taste comparison with a few friends and the 'old' Fat Tire won hands down. I've switched to Avalanche Ale from Breckinridge Brewing. Not sure what to do with all my Fat Tire paraphernalia which adorns my garage and back deck... Thanks for listening. Fat Tire, R.I.P.

My new Favorite!

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I really enjoyed the ale. I liked the robust flavor, the was no after bite, which I enjoyed. I had mine cold, no ice, straight from the bottle. The flavor was perfect, and I honestly will probably start buying these because one was great while cooking dinner. I'm surprised by the light flavor. It's an amber ale, and it's amazing. Overall, I'm going to recommend this to others because it's really refreshing. It's also very light and not heavy on the stomach, so after drinking one, you won't feel really full like you just ate an entire meal. And they care about our planet. Sweet!
