Disappointed in the new Fat Tire...

I am so disappointed in the new Fat Tire. Admittedly, I'm an older part of the market segment, but it's been my favorite beer for over two decades. I did a side-by-side taste comparison with a few friends and the 'old' Fat Tire won hands down. I've switched to Avalanche Ale from Breckinridge Brewing. Not sure what to do with all my Fat Tire paraphernalia which adorns my garage and back deck... Thanks for listening. Fat Tire, R.I.P.

New formula, better taste

[I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review.] I think Fat Tire is well-known to college students, and customers that come back to it. When I saw that they work to reduce emissions, I was on board. Same taste, environmentally friendly. What not to like? I think the taste changed to something lighter, which I prefer over the previous version. I'd enjoy this more regularly.

Refreshing beer, but lacking flavor

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. Fat Tire Ale is a very crisp and refreshing beer. It is very easy to drink considering it is an ale. It is very good to drink in a hot day. I also saw they changed the logo of the packaging, which is more retro looking.

Slight change but still great taste!

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. Fat Tire has always held a special place in my heart as it was one of the first beers to open my eyes into the world of craft beer. The new recipe is certainly similar to that of the original amber ale, though it feels a tad lighter than the previous incarnation. It’s easy to drink and perfect for a nice summer day.

For any ale lover

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. This is a drink i feel is meant for seasoned drinkers. People who have tasted everything , and decided they prefer beers ,and ales. It taste like any other ale, so for me its a no for this drink itself. I later added cranberry juice. This drink with a mixer ,or some syrup, is more my cup of tea. However my rating remains as 4 stars , because while this drink didn't dazzle me ,or change my feeling toward ale. It is still your standard bubbly , smooth ale.

Portnoy Scale Review of Fat Tire

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. Fat tire is a solid choice for any beer enthusiast. While it won't blow your socks off or anything, it is a dependable American beer for nearly any occasion. It seems that every beer these days tries to add odd flavors or themes in order to catch the public eye, I like that fat tire is able to just be a standard American ale without any gimmicks. That being said it has enough flavor to stand out from the competition without having extreme levels of hops that while melt your tongue. All and all I would give Fat Tire a solid 6.2 out of 10 on a Portnoy scale.

Good beer and good for the environment!

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. For starters, I miss the old familiar packaging I was used to seeing, but it now touts that it's America's first carbon neutral beer, which is perplexing and impressive at the same time. The flavor is the same. It's got a nice full flavor that goes down pretty easy with a nice finish. Highly recommend!

Good balanced flavor, crisp

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I was hesitant to try it. Many Colorado craft ales are very hoppy. I was pleasantly surprised. Fat Tire Ale has a balanced flavor. It has body without being heavy. It's crisp, clear with a bit of a nutty flavor.
