Michelin Defender T+H - 205/55R16 91H Tire

Price was very competitive for similar tires from other manufacturers.   Pleased with the purchase and with the quality of the tires.

Worst Tire I've used. Bought my car brand new with these tires and one was dry rot. These tires are nail magnetic.

I bought a set of 4's of these Michelin defender tires 3 months ago and love these tires....these will be my 4th set of tires for all of my cars

I bought these in February 2023, replacing a set of Premiere A/S,. I get there will be some handling and ride adjustment . The A/S was fabulous until they got down to 3mls. Even though they only lasted 42000 mile, I would have bought another set, I thought they were that good.
The Defenders are like driving offroad tires. Every inperfection on the road surface is felt.
I have had vibration thru the steering wheel and rough ride feel throughout the cabin.
At just under 3000mi, I had my mechanic go over the tires and the entire front end. He rotated and rebalanced all four tires since there was nothing else he could find. This caused a reduction in the vibration but the ride is incredibly hard.
I could have saved a $100/tire and just bought a private brand label for this ride.
Clearly I do not recommend these tires

What happened to what used to be great tires?

I am putting my second set of these tires on my car and have had a set of other Michelins in the past as well.  They did last to the mileage mentioned so I would assume those poor comments may be due to lack of care on the owners part. I always rotate at my 8,000 km maintenance at the garage if needed and I always do alignments and keep air pressure correct as needed.  Just like any part, proper care is needed.  I drive 40-50,000 km/year,  These tires are a little louder but stop great in bad rain or snow, even on my old car that had standard brakes.  I highly recommend these
