- 5 out of 5 stars review2/5/2022I have had the tires for 2 months, and until this week's ice/snow storm here in Cincinnati I thought these tires were very good. Now I believe they are fantastic. Better than studded tires of long ago. They go, they stop, and on packed snow/slush/ice they track straight. Quiet on dry pavement. Soft ride, but great traction. Only negative is the distinctive thread pattern let's my co workers know where I have been playing around in the snow. Especially like the installation at work capability.

We appreciate you! - 4 out of 5 stars review11/1/2022In my winter driving conditions I use spikes (country roads in the North of Finland) in my back wheel drive car. I have now my 2nd set of Cross Climate tyres in a row. They give me flexibility to change to spikes only after the real winter has come. Not any earlier. In the spring I have the flexibility to switch back early to Cross Climate thus reducing the use of spikes to minimum. I have found Cross Climate very pleasing: low noise level, reasonable wear, very neutral handling (205/60R16) in my E series MB. The tyres deserve 5/5, the pricing lowers the total to 4/5. Ps. My winter spike tyres are Michelin, too.

The tires feel hard on bumpy roads and make a moderate amount of noise on all roads. The traction seems good in all conditions. My son-in-law got the same tires on their Honda Odyssey and states his ride is soft and they are quiet compared to the snow tires he had on it.

Although arguably not as good as dedicated snow tires in deep snow, these tires have superior wet/slush traction. Resist hydroplaning better than any tire I've used in 35+ years of driving. If the snow is "too deep" for these, maybe you should have stayed home. Super quiet, smooth, and fuel mileage is on par with "2 season" tires. Better fuel mileage than dedicated snows. Only down side is they tend to pick up/hold a lot of stones in the tread. You'll want some stone protection on any exposed metal body parts directly behind the wheels.

Stopping is seamless, road grip is outstanding. The car turns flatter, poor street conditions are smoothed out (quite a feat for Chicago!) and I'm happy with the purchase.

They are quiet, on highway and provide great handling in all conditions. I've been particularly impressed how they performed on ice and snow when it was - 42c here. I am now a firm believer in the capabilities of an all weather tire now (well, the cross climates anyway!)

OEM tire is Michelin Primacy MXM4. I don't appreciate having a recommendation that lowers my car's safety rating in not allowing my car to top as fast or hold the road as well as expected when purchased. Did not purchase recommended tire for reason that I care for my family's safety.
Downgraded performance of replacement tire is sad.

My car had about 110,000 miles on it, and this is the 3rd set of tires. I get about 33 miles on pure electric driving, and I was getting about 36 miles on pure electric. I now have about 5,000 miles on these tires, and I am still hoping it goes back to the 36 miles. The tires have excellent traction-on the other sets, the tires would squeal sometimes. With the new tires-I don't get any squealing. The ride is much more comfortable as compared to the Michelin Defender.

The first thing I noticed was, they are quiet! The handling is very responsive with a good road feel, and stopping distance is very good. I'm anxious to see how they perform in Pennsylvania snows.

I was concerned about the tread pattern being noisy but they're quiet. I also read reviews where gas milage dropped, but I'm getting 2mpg more with them. I noticed stopping distance has increased as well as acceleration. I usually buy a mid grade tire but glad I spent a little extra for these. Hope I'm just as impressed with their traction in snow this winter.

So far I am satisfied, I feel more confident on the road, however a little more road noise and slight steering wheel feel which is expected with such an aggressive thread. I believe these tires are second to none when it comes to an all season tire with the snow factor included.

I can best sum them up by saying “Wow” these are great tires! Cosmetically they look like an all season SUV tire but I’ve put them on a VW Golf and have to say they have transformed my car. Smooth, quiet, and simply phenomenal grip with no reduction in mileage from my old tires. To say my expectation was exceeded is almost an understatement.

I had at least another years worth of tread left. The traction they offered was great, I never got stuck in the snow after getting these tires. Originally these tires were so good, I recommended them to family and friends. Four of them bought the tires. I am no longer recommending these tires. I received zero support from michelin, I was told it is probably ozone damage....2 1/2 year old tire.

And the aesthetic of the tires are awesome too. My big Hyundai Santa Fe gets better gas mileage too about 23-25 in a big suv is pretty good!

These tires on average 3- 5oz of weights which is a lot. The longest measurement of weight was 5 inches.So this is my 3 rd trip back and this time they a ( road force test) ,something I haven't heard of.This machine manipulates the sidewall of the tire, then rebalance.They end up with about the same amount of weights.So I leave and they did this procedure one more . Was told they are, whats considered acceptable limits with minimum vibration.So they are ok for now, I quess. My old worn out pilots...

They've proven to be especially good at handling conditions that have caused hydroplaning for me with other tires -- torrential blinding rainstorms on stretches of interstate with bad drainage for example.
