Will not buy again

Glad to see Sam's offering ORGANIC apples but there are drawbacks: • Too old. As apple's age they dry-out and become mealy. This was the case re: the apples I bought, although, half-way-in they were fresher and not longer mealy. • There is no brand name on the bag containing these apples. No website or telephone number. It states, " Domex Superfresh (which they are not) Growers, Yakima.WA 98908." • No wonder these apples aren't fresh. They are being shipped all the way across the US. First to Sam's warehouses, then to the stores, then how long on the shelves. Also, how much fossil fuel is fouling the air to get these apples to my state (Virginia)? Virginia is full of apple growers and cold store facilities. Why buy from Washington state? • There is no date stamp on the bag so how can members know how old these apples are? How do store manager know when he should throw them out? • When it comes to food transparency, the associated parties re: these apples have failed.

Yummy!

We only buy these apples! Love that they are Organic and they aren't over priced! Have been buying them for a while now...never found one that was rotten! I will continue buying these yummy treats!! (word of advice to those that have gotten a bag full of rotten apples...Sam's Club will return an item, no matter what! Just bring in the receipt and you will get a full refund! Also, check your bag thoroughly before you buy!! I know I do!)

ORGANIC APPLES FOR CHEAP!

Thank goodness for these apples! Im tired of paying out the wazoo for organic apples at "other organic stores" so I have to say, thanks!! I would say that the produce handlers needs to be a bit more careful with ALL the produce at Sams club on Serene Road as the produce looks "man-handled" at times.

Not as good as the gala apples you used to carry!

I don’t know whose decision it was to trade the awesome, good every single time gala apples I previously purchased at Sam’s for these organic gala apples, but it was not a better choice in my opinion. These consistently have brown spots, are never of the beautiful, red color the previous apples always had, and are not as sweet. What’s up with that, Sam’s? Is it just because of the ‘organic’ labeling? That label is worthless if the product doesn’t measure up otherwise. These organic apples simply are not as good as the gala apples you used to carry. Not a fan of the switch and will be looking elsewhere for better apples. Hope the people who undoubtedly whined for an organic product are buying enough of these to justify your switch!

Flavorless and Browning

I've bought these apples multiple times thinking that I just *happened* to get a bad batch. Well, I give up. Every.single.time I buy these apples they are flavorless. They also tend to have some browning on the inside, so I've ended up throwing them away.

Horrible shelf life

I've purchased organic Gala apples from a wide range of sources over the years, and most of them have a shelf life of at least a month, though they're starting to get mealy by that point. The past several times I've bought these from Sam's, they don't even last a week. Within 5 days of purchase, I had to throw almost half of them out, and by the time I hit 10 days, 3/4 of them were rotting away. Our horse and sheep are happy, but the humans in the house? Not so much.

Last Season Apples

There were comments about the softness of the apples. I had hoped it was just one batch. If these aren't last year's apple season something else is wrong. They are very soft and many are bruised. I picked them out myself at Sam's thinking they would be okay. I was wrong. I looked for a 'picked date' which are on other produce items on the exterior of the box but couldn't find one. The price savings was worth the try. Hopefully enough people noticing the quality will get better quality results in the future. We mostly buy organic if at all available.

My 4-lb 5-lb bag of apples

I find these apples tasteless compared to non organic apples we get at Sam's. But we buy them every week. This morning I decided to weigh them, and found that my five pounds of organic apples that cost almost $8 were four pounds one ounce, including the bag.

5 out of 11 apples was rotten

I bought one bag of this item last week at Coit road location , very excited to open the bag and found out some apple had big rotten spot, two of them even has mold fungus, I was very shock because I always think Sam's carry fresh & good quality products, I'm so disappoint to throw away those apples, don't even bother to bring back to store for exchange.
