LOVE THESE TIRES

I like them at least as much as I liked the KO. Very good in dirt, rock, rain and snow. Decent mud traction for not being a mud tire. Quiet on-road with good handling. Much better on-road than other offroad tires I've had while maintaining excellent grip and control off the pavement. I'll need more miles on them to see how they wear long-term but so far, so good. As far as people complaining about them not being mud tires- right...they are offroad tires not mud tires. If you plan on mudding get mud tires but expect a lot more drawbacks than the KO2's have. I would buy them again. I'm a lot more confident with them offroad because that's what they are designed to do and I can feel the difference between them and a road tire.

Great Traction

I've only had these tires a few weeks so I am rating performance not longevity or tread life. I purchased these tires right before deer season here in Idaho. I tow a 31.5' travel trailer into the mountains. The roads were descent for the most part. The last mile before my camp they turned seriously muddy with huge puddles. With my truck in 4WD high the tires performed amazingly well. We also had packed snow on the mountain roads and they did great in those conditions as well. And they look beefy on the truck. Much better than on the store shelf.

Tread life is horrible!!

I had brand new ko2 tires put into my 2011 Silverado and they look killer but the tread life is very disappointing I have put 26000 miles on in the last year and 3 months and my tread life is down to 5/32 already. I saw noticeable change within 14,000 that they were wearing quick but the retailer i went though said that was normal and just rotated them. They are about ready to be replaced already. I owned ko's on a previous truck and they well surpassed 50,000 miles and still had more tread then my new ko2's. To sum up I would not buy these tires again unless they changed the material back to the previous version as well as offer a mileage warranty. Had I known there wasn't a warranty on them and that they would wear out so fast I would have spent the extra money for a different brand.

How to survive in a snowstorm.

I live in Buffalo NY, one of the snowiest, iciest and whiteout-est places in the country. For many, many years I have used KO2’s for my winter tires. Dont believe the lies. There are two types of tires. Spring-summer-fall tires and WINTER tires. The winter tires must have the mountain with snowflake symbol cast into the sidewall. If it aint there it aint a winter tire. At least it wont save your life in a snowstorm. Dont cheap out. The guy in the ditch, cheaped out. Next, you want thinner tires to cut through the snow. Remember those old wooden sleds with the two metal rails that always sucked because they cut through the snow down to the grass and stopped dead? Thats what you want in a snow tire. Not a wide tire like a snowshoe. You need to contact the pavement to stay on the road. I use 265-65R18 on my Sierra’s and I always blow past the unprepared, wide tired or all season guys on the thruway and a lot of them are 4WD. These KO2’s are a softer grippy compound with a strong sidewall to grip the curves in the road and keep you square in your lane. You will not believe the control you have. Change these out to your summer tires after the snow is gone. You will burn them up on dry pavement. That saves you money in the long run. I get at least 6 winters out of mine. They have some road noise. A hum to remind you you are protected during the winter and a hum to remind you to change them out in the spring. It is not an annoying hum if you realize they are there protecting you. Tires and brakes are the most important things in your life while you are in your vehicle. Buy the best for both. Start with KO2’s. You will thank this review.

Mileage Issue

I have purchased 6 sets of Goodrich KO's over the years and have a set on my 2014 Xterra and 2009 Hummer H3T. I've always had great results with these tires. However the new style KO2's have negatively affected my mileage by 1 to 2 miles per gallon.

Thank you for providing your feedback in regard to your experience with All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires, Mark NEO. New tires having full tread depth will have more grip and rolling resistance in comparison to worn tires. As the new tires wear, the rolling resistance decreases. Over the life of the tires, all things being equal, the fuel efficiency should improve.

Great tires 275/65/20

This is my third set of BFG All Terrain and won't be the last. I had 285's prior to this, but for .5" I can't justify over $300 more. These KO 2's are performing very similar to my old KO's. The guys writing reviews saying they are loud, and other comments obviously have something else going on with their respective vehicles. These KO2's are identical to the KO's with the exception of the extra sidewall grips. This will not be my last set, as I drive about 60k miles a year for work and can't imagine buying a different set of tires. I would highly recommend.

Just got them, but already love them

Definitely haven't driven it enough yet, or long trip to really get in depth, but so far, they are great! The appearance is way better than the stock tires that finally wore out and the ride so far has been very good. I anticipate the tires with a much knobbier gripping texture will be hugely beneficial in rain and snow.

Excellent Tires - Love them

Overall dry driving, sand dunes, camping and very snowy roads. Positively the best tires I've ever owned. Used them on my 2005 F-150 and preformed unbelievably well. I was afraid they would be to noisy on the interstate but I was very wrong, smooth and quite. And when I needed the traction in snow and sand well what can I say, these tires are the beast. Was heartbroken when I traded in my old Ford for a new one. Guess what my first purchase will be on this new Ford, yup a set of BF All Terrain K02's, can't wait.

Should have stuck with

Ive been a long time supported of the KO's tires, having run 3 set of other vehicles in the past. I purchased these thinking they were going to be like the original KO's, the KO2's are far from comparable. Since having these tires installed, my jeep slips in any rain when turning/curving. Wet surface braking, forget about it, in hard braking, the tires loose traction and just slide when the brakes are applied. recently in a light snow/icy road condition situation, these tires performed extremely back, even with 4x4 and jeep's terrain management system, the jeep could not get grip on the road and left me spinning tires. Hard breaking durning dry conditions result in tires not gripping the road. during cornering tire send choppy feed back into steering wheel
