Tread is Chunking

These Latitude Tour HP tires came equipped on my Cayenne S, and they did not hold up. I have only about ~30k km on them since I run winter tires about half the year. I also rotate them regularly when I swap them for my winters. They started chunking right as I entered the sixth year of their production (coincidentally how long their warranty is). I would not recommend these tires, have never seen chunking like this before and speaks to their poor construction and Michelin's poor QC as a whole.

Good while dry and dangerous when wet. Longevity poor!

Tire is fine during dry conditions. Noise is low and good grip and handling. On the other hand when raining and wet conditions you are gripping the steering wheel like your life depends on it. No grip or control actually quite dangerous and scary. The wear and longevity of these tire are not as advertised. 55,000 mile warranty hahaha. At 35,000 currently and we are looking to get new tires. I would advise looking at alternative tires

Underperforming

OE on my 2016 Ford Escape. Now have 26,772 miles & told need to replace. These are supposed to be 55,000 mile/6 year tires. I don't drive high speeds, make jackrabbit starts or heavy breaking. Not happy about the performance of these tires, and not inclined to purchase Michelin again. Will probably go back to my old standby Goodyear brand.

Needed to replace at 33k miles, tires at 4/32 tread

I cannot recommend these tires. They came OEM with my Acura MDX 2015 (105h green x latitude hp tour) and now in June 2017, I have been told that I need to replace these. The news one have a tread depth of 10/32 and mine are at 4/32 after 2.5 years and 33k miles only. This is sub-par performance. I don't see anything amazing about braking distance or wet road performance, so I cannot comment about that. MDX is a fairly big 3 row SUV, so we've used it as family car and not for joy riding, hard braking or hard acceleration.

Great Value Great Ride

This tire rides great, good traction on wet roads. Handles well as we use it on our most used vehicle which is a SUV. Although most Michelin Tires are priced somewhat higher than some of their rivals they always prove to be worth it. But a lower price point would probably better in this economy.

EXCELLENT RIDING TIRES- QUIET RIDE-

I purchased Michelin tires for my Ford Edge to replace the continental tires that came from the factory...What a difference! The michelins are a great tire I especially love the quiet ride- we have michelin tires on 5 of our family vehicles and I recommend them when ever I'm asked!

Poor handling, wear too quickly

These tires came standard on my 2016 Ford Edge SEL. We’re now at 40k miles, they’re supposed to be a 55k mile tire, but I’ve been experiencing bad hydroplaning recently and a very noisy ride on the highways (concrete and asphalt). Replacing them already, 15k miles before they’re supposed to need a replacement.

Latitude all around great tire and miles

I have driven these tires through multiple midwest winters and ice laden streets as well as Gerogia/Florida downpours on the interstate. These tires grip regardless of foul weather, always providing a solid in control feel at the steering wheel. Dry weather conditions offer solid traction, cornering and braking power. Mileage is a major plus. Currently have 58000 miles and wear is even and not close to the safety ribs with regular rotations. These tires provide you the confidence and grip under any weather conditions that make driving fun again.

Poor Mileage

Bought four Latitude Tours from the big membership store several months ago. Love the ride and grip, but after more than 2,000 miles my MPG is still much lower than before: 15-20% lower, with the same vehicle, same roads, same driver, same odometer, and the same calculator. This tire is supposed to save gas, but it is costing me beaucoup gas with every fill up. VERY disappointed in the Latitude Tours. Look elsewhere.

reply from Supplier Response

Thank you for providing your feedback in regard to your experience with MICHELIN Latitude Tour HP tires. New tires having full tread depth will have more grip and rolling resistance in comparison to worn tires. As the new tires wear, the rolling resistance decreases. Over the life of the tires, all things being equal, the fuel efficiency should improve.

Excellent

When I bought these set of tires on about a month they save me from a huge car accident. I was driving on a highway in about 90 miles per hour when all suddlen I got a flat. I pull over and there was a big nail or bolt on the tire. If I would bougth other set of tires I probably wont be here telling my story. Thnak you Michellin !!
