Very solid bed frame. You will need a box spring though or an elevated foundation. If not, your head will be below the bottom of the headboard.

We absolutely LOVE this bed frame, it is the biggest and sturdiest one that I've ever owned. It's beautiful. When we bought this both the description and the answers to customers' questions stated that you can use this frame with only a mattress. That is false - the bed only has 4 slats and they are 22" apart. Most mattress warranties are void if slats are more than 2.5" apart. Even the delivery guys (who were amazing and did everything to set this up) said the frame needs some sort of base. We set our mattress on it just to see and it sagged very badly between the slats, I can't imagine trying to sleep on that. So we ordered a low profile mattress base and are very happy to have purchased this. We only wish we'd known about the need for a mattress base in advance.

Beautiful and very sturdy and well made bed.

Love the looks of it, but the finish itself is quite rough. I got a very large splinter in my hand while putting it together. You will have to be cautious when changing the sheets!

This is a beautiful bed and it was delivered sooner than expected. However, due to Covid, white glove service was not available. When we attempted to put the bed together, the hardware was missing. We couldn’t get anyone on the phone and were only able to chat with a representative who was unable to help. I was told that someone would be in contact with me and I’m still waiting. In the meantime I’ve tried getting substitutions from the hardware store to no avail. As of this writing I have a beautiful bed that we can’t use because we have no hardware.

The finish on the side rails is basically paper tape, not paint, not varnish. The supposed “white glove” delivery is a couple of guys who asked me to sign their paperwork and feedback form as soon as they got off the truck, banged the boxes on my walls and new flooring, then asked me if I can just put the bed together myself. It was a horrible experience.
