Love Them (so far)

I have only used these a few times thus far, but I love them! I am a personal trainer, so I already have a lot of free weights, but it is so handy to have all of these in just one set! The dial turns even easier than I thought it would, and you just pick the weight up from its cradle and it gives you the plates that equal the amount selected. I also like that it includes mid-weight selections that are normally not available in dumbbelss, like 12.5, 17.5, and 22.5 pounds, for example. You usually have to jump from 15's to 20's, so if you're using two weights, that's a 10-pound jump. One of my clients tested them out and is looking forward to using them next week, since he's been wanting some heavier dumbbells for size increase in his arms.

Great Product

I love these selectech dumbbells. They work great. I hate changing weights on regular dumbbells. This changes weight by turning the dial. Your not stopping your work out to constantly change weight. They are built well and feel very solid. I have tried other brands and the weights feel like they are moving. The only negative thing I have to say about them is they are quite expensive and they should be heavier. I know Bowflex makes a heavier set but the cost quite a bit more. The 52.5 lbs is a little light.

Bowflex dumb bells

Very well built product. Had a issue when I opened the box, one of the weights wouldn't lift off the cradle and the dial would barely turn. I called the 800 # and surprisingly had someone answer the phone immediately that I could understand. She walked me through how to reset the weight and I was up and going in a few mins. Great product and great customer service!

Great quality, handles could use grip

I've just finished my first week with the 552s. I have to say that I'm so happy I bought them. They allow me to go heavy when I want and then take it easy if it's an off day. My only tiny complaint is that if my hands are very wet from say, sweating, the handles can become a bit more slippery than I expected. I'll probably throw some grip tape on them though - no biggie.

As Expected - Very Pleased

Sold in a pair, each weight adjusts from 5 to 52.5 lbs. I've been using the SelectTechs for about a month now, and am very pleased with my purchase. I read a lot of reviews, I researched various adjustable weight brands and always came back to the SelectTechs. They're easy to adjust mid workout, easy to lift out of the cradle, easy to rack, and although slightly bulky, they are easy to store.

Bad mechanics

Good thing my 90 store warrenty was still valid. Bought them thinking they would be amazing, they are perfect for a great home gym. But the mechanics to adjusting them stopped working on us. It would let u adjust it it would just be really hard to turn them & wouldn't let you lift your intended weight. Great idea, just didnt work properly. I did return them and got my money back. Now on the search again for dumb bells

These dumbells are AWESOME!!!!

These dumbbells are exactly what I have been looking for. I sold all of my dumbbells from 10-50lbs and replaced all of them with these two dumbbells. They change weight quick and I'm on to the next set. Love them so much I'm thinking about getting the heavier set. If you want a space saver that is extremely functional, get them now!!!

New to Adjustable dumbells

I have been working out with numerous dumb bells. I have individual 10 Lb dumb bells for cardio type workouts and a couple of traditional Wieder sets. I wanted to add weight and have the flexibility to quickly change weights for pyramid training (do the max reps at one weight and quickly drop the weight down 5 lbs max out again and repeat etc...). This was a great investment. Great feel (rubberized grip) and well balanced. I can change the weight in seconds. I do not have a similar quick change unit to compare it to but I can not imagine being happier with something else.

weights

Does the job. Good enough for women as well as the bar alone weighs 5 pounds so a lady can tone without the weights. Good for men looking for definition. Keep away from children as they are heavy and some curious child may want to lift one. Good quality so far

Awesome Dumbbells!!!

I love my new dumbbells!!! They are exactly what i needed for the home gym. I love the space saving feature of it. Also bought the stand, it makes it way better with the stand. They are easy to select the weight you need and get to workouts. Switching exercises is easy with these things. I think for the price they are very well made and made an excellent addition to the gym.
