I have only driven on the tires for a short time, so I cannot talk about wear...however I can say without a doubt, that the tires are more quiet, are much better in the wet and are great in the turns which is what I wanted in my Vette...& yes I have already recommended them to a friend...he went with Michelins (a lower grade tire) and got the same results.

I love the quality of Michelin tires. I have had over 50 years of history owning Michelin tires. The performance of all of the Michelins has been outstanding, but I really find the Pilot Sport 2's to be exceptional. Quiet, delivering good tire wear, grip, and braking ability. Would definitely buy them, again.

GREAT TIRE

I have these tires on an 89 Vette for road racing in One Lap of America event. These tires were great in the rain and dry pavement. QUIET ! I attended a 3 day driving school that switched to these tires on Corvettes and the instructors said 2 seconds was cut off the lap times from the factory original tires. I don't know what the long term mileage would be since I put new tires on each May for the event. But I keep purchasing the Pilot PS2's because I can depend on them. JD

63K+

I bought my PS/2's for the front of my SLK350 in March '11 and recently replaced them after 63,531 miles! I've been very pleased overall with Michelin's and these were noteworthy because of the longevity. I've replaced them with PS A/S3's. I recommend these tires.

Pilot Sport PS2

I have driven on PS2's when taking the Corvette course at Spring Mountain racetrack. I was impressed with the better traction then provided by the Goodyears that were on my car. I change to the PS2's and was pleasantly surprised by the reduction in road noise and smoother ride.

I prefer the Michelin ...

I prefer the Michelin PS2's over any other high performance tires I've used including Firestone, Goodyear, Advanta Sport, and Pirelli. I have PS2's on a 2001 modified Corvette and a 2010 Ferrari, and when the tires need to be replaced on my 2005 Ford GT I will go with PS2's unless Michelin comes out with something even better. My cars ride well, stop with no drama and corner better than anything else I've used. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Very good set of tires

I consider myself a very aggressive driver and this set of tires is one of the better sets I have owned. Good grip both wet and dry. Tire wear is acceptable for a high performance tire. I have about 25,000 miles on this set on they have very little tread left. The ride is also very good for a performance tire - firm but not jarring over bumps. I would buy these again if I received a good deal.

Awesome Tire

Have these tires on three corvettes, '92, '98 and 2008 Z-51. Ever one of these cars has been driven in the heaviest rains in history at one time--didn't go looking for it but it happens. Home from Kentucky when Nashville flooded in 2010, Detroit 6" in one day. Hardly slowed down, except for visibility, not a hero, felt completely safe and in control. Great handling dry, only complaint a bit noisey on some surfaces esecially concrete. Use them all year round, no snow of course, just be sane when its cold. Next ones will be the new Super Sports . Have 44,000 miles on front tires on 2008 Vette, 23,000 on the rears, lots of open roads and touring.

Pretty good tires

I bought my 2008 335i as a CPO car with 19k miles. It had a brand new set of PS2's on the car when I purchased it. I now have 40.5k miles and the back tires (315/25-19) need to be replaced. I can't say I 'baby' my car, but I'm not overly harsh either. These tires are very excellent summer tires and bad in cold, icy, or snowy conditions (as to be expected). The grip in warm weather is awesome. The big draw back for me is the noise and harsh ride, but that is the penalty of run-flat tires. For the commentor that got 8000 miles on the rear of his BMW, I'd suggest you have the thrust alignment checked on your car. Also Michelin specifically states that the warranty is halved for split width cars, so 8000 miles isn't too far off the mark for tread wear. I do consider the milage attained on my tires to be above average, but I know of others that have gotten 15k-17k easily with the PS2's.

I was in the automotive ...

I was in the automotive business for many years before going to work for the railroad. When any of my customers ask me for advice on tires I always told them there is only one great tire.....Michelin! My father has always rode on Michelin LTX M/S on his Chevrolet trucks. I remember that on a 2001 Chevrolet C1500 he got over 80,000 miles out of a set of Michelins. I am currently running a set of LTX M/S on my Chevrolet Tahoe and a set of Pilot PS2 ZP's on my 2005 Corvette. Anyone reading this review trust me....you cannot find a better tire or safer tire to to use on any vehicle.
