Good Handling but Noisy

This tire originally came on my 2017 Civic Si. Rotated them with every oil change (around every 9k miles). At 40k miles one tire became extremely noisy and Goodyear center removed the tire to find it was coming apart on the inside. I replaced all 4 with the same tire and after the second rotation, the tire noise was suddenly really loud again, but from all of the tires. However, I have gotten close to 70k miles on this second set. I'm about to purchase the Eagle F1 Asymmetrical 2 Summer Tire and give those a try.

Eagle keeps you driving Strong

The Goodyear Eagle sport has the following qualities: The tires are very balanced, direct and responsive to steering & communicate well with the driver, even at higher speeds. High levels of cornering grip and traction for an all-season tire are exceptional well. Wet traction and excellent hydroplaning resistance are unmatched. Excellent braking on dry and wet surfaces as well as a SMOOTH ride quality. Outstanding treadlife for a performance tire leads to Longer tread wear which leads to a great warranty on the Sport tires. The only CON that I can see is that the tires are a little bit noisier than other premium ultra-high-performance all-season tires.

2009 Mustang GT Tire Replacement

I chose these tires to replace the two rears on my 09' Mustang GT. The original tires had developed leaks from age. I couldn't be happier with the tire. The original tires suffered in wet weather. I frequently had wheel spin under normal stop and go city driving when the road was even slightly damp. When I picked up the car it was raining, and the grip felt better than the old ones did in dry conditions. They honestly made the car feel ten years newer. For the curious before these I still had the factory tires.

Pleasantly surprised by the new Eagles

After doing a lot of research and reading a lot of reviews I decided to give the Eagle Sport A/S a try. So glad I did. Soft ride, predictable grip, excellent wet traction, and low road noise. I just rotated the tires at 8k miles and they are wearing very well. Great traction for stopping and around tight decreasing radius turns. These tires excel in wet weather! It doesn't matter whether it's a full on tropical storm or just a quick sun shower, the car feels very sure footed and stuck to the road no matter how much water is on the road. I would definitely recommend these tires if you're looking for replacements for All Season tires.

Goodyear eagle sport tire review

Tires are performing well but do ride a little harder than the original tires. I feel the bumps and vibration more. Otherwise they seem fine. I haven't driven with them I. Winter so can't evaluate their winter traction. Also too early to gauge trend life and it has barely rained since I got the tires so also don't know about wet traction,

Tires are very LOUD

When I needed tires to replace the ten year old OE rubber on my mother's 2013 Elantra GT, the store highly recommended these sport tires. While they did have good grip and performed well in wet weather, I noticed how loud these were compared to the OE tires. Not so bad on older pavement, but on fresh pavement they howled, to the point where I thought I had a bad wheel bearing. Not only that they have a very stiff sidewall which make any road irregularity jar the entire vehicle. I returned them in less than 400 miles for the Assurance ComfortDrives and it is a NIGHT and DAY difference. Much, much quieter and no longer jarring ride. I do not recommend these if comfort and quietness.

Overall experience at the dealer

So far, nice tires. However, haven't had them long enough to offer a more informed opinion. My car is a Mustang (Shelby GT) so very interested in how the tires handle on wet roads or snow. Was originally looking at the Asymmetrics but dealer recommended the Eagle Sport because of their handling in inclement weather. Actually, the Sports were a bit cheaper than the Asymmetrics so came across as a win-win. Respect for the dealer who recommended cheaper tires; don't see that very often. Cudos to them. I have been to this shop before and they come across as legit car guys so gotta think my Shelby is in good hands.

Wouldn't choose any other tire!

I still have my original set of these tires from when I bought my civic brand new almost 4 years ago. I have over 57k miles and my tread depth is surprisingly at 7/32". I've never had any issues with road noise, handling around corners, and consistently driving in wet conditions (I live in Florida, it's always raining lol). They are starting to slightly crack on the sides but I think a lot of that has to do with the heat outside. I'll be replacing them soon with this same tire!

Long time Good year tire customer

I've used Goodyear tires on my cars after the original set of tires needed replacement. The Goodyears have lasted longer than OEM tires, but not as long as I might have expected. Possibly my expectations were too high, but these tires are on an Infiniti EX-37, so not a heavy car.

Currently on 2019 Hyundai Elantra GT N Line hatchback, 58k

58k ( and about 3 to 4/32 left) on these GoodYear Eagle Sport A/S tires on 2019 Hyundai Elantra GT N Line 1.6 turbo. They love the rain and handle great in the rain or dry and handle great on curvy Virginia roads! Not a Sunday driver, handles the daily commute and weekend twisty drives very well! Quiet running tire. As with any tires, rotate and keep balanced and the correct PSI of air and these tires you will be pleased with , not only the performance but also the life of the tire! They handle good in snow , they are not dedicated snow tires , and my hatchback would need dedicated snow tires in deeper snow ( 6inches+) and more mountains or steep terrain for sure, but then again it's not an SUV or a larger sedan. But the tires did well in light snow as long as you know how to drive in the snow ! Great Tires!
