When I purchased my last vehicle it had realtively new Michelin tires on it. I was so impressed with the durability and wear that when it cam time to replace them I stuck with Michelin's. There are just some things that you have to buy and realize that you get what you pay for, and in my opinion that tires are the biggest safety factor on a vehicle.

I have used other brands of tires in the past and they haven't lasted as long as the Michelin's. I had them on my 1994 S-10 4WD Blazer and they lasted seven years for me and they will last probably another year or two for the person that I sold it too this past summer. Michelin tires seem to be the best for sidewall stability and long tread life. I will buy some again soon when I can save up enough money for the LTX M/S^2 LT285/70/R17 for my Expedition.

These are the worst tires I have ever owned. I have another set on my Tacoma which I bought a couple of year’s ago. Those were the best tire I have owned. This new version vibrates and shakes horrible between 65-75 miles sn hour. I had them rebalanced which did nothing. Regret the day I bought these. I was always a Michelin guy but I am rethinking that now.

My 2003 Lexus LX470 has 195,000 miles on it, all with Michelin tires. I installed these Michelin Defender LTX on it, they sound like I'm driving a monster truck. Ride is fine, noise is so unbearable my wife won't drive the vehicle anymore. Wish I could get my old Michelins back.

We had this particular tire before and had over 70,000 miles on them and still could have used them but was afraid to go off on a trip with them so we decided to get new ones. My wife checked around and priced other cheaper tires but we knew the quality of Michelin tires. There's NO way we would buy anything else.

Just very happy with tires. handles wet weather great. roads in fl when raining us to give me a problem b4 getting these. i highly rec. these. and i would purchase again!!! safety first. its funny but i always ck tires b4 driving any where just encase a flat or something..and i see my tires and said to myself self GOOD PURCHASE!! My Dad was an avid advocate of Michelin tires all my years growing up. They were the only tires he would buy. I myself however thought tires were tires, as long as they were round and held air who cares. When I was in my early twentys I started my own contracting business and spent a lot of time on construction sites. Needless to say I also spent a lot of time changing flats, due to nails and other construction debris, and a lot of time purchasing tires every year or so. Flash forward fifteen years or so and picture yourself in the high speed lane of a four lane highway during rush hour running around 70 mph. Suddenly and without any indication of a problem my left rear tire blew. Somehow I managed to get over through two lanes of traffic just as the lanes split, two lanes each way and into the center area of the split where I came to a stop. As I sat there trying to gather myself, my now deceased fathers words echoed in my head. Because so much is riding on your tires! It's the perfect slogan, mostly because it's true, but obviously I never got the picture like I'm sure a lot of others haven't. Since that day, now twenty years ago, I'm an avid Michelin fan. In the past twenty years since I've been driving on Michelins I've had three seperate instances were I'm quite convinced that if I had any other tires I possibly woundn't be here to write this review. I preach to all my family and friends that besides the safety factor I haven't had a flat tire in twenty years, and I only have to mess with buying tires every five or six years. You guys make an amazing product and as a consumer it's nice to be able to purchase what I consider to be a life safety product and do it with complete confidence. Please never compromise your quality for your bottom line as I have seen happen with other so called top of the line products.

I bought a brand new 99 Silverado LT.I got only 21000 miles out of those tires99(not Michelin)lol b/4 they started wearing a lil thin,so I went ahead and bought 4 new Michelins on it in 2 yrs later(01).I still to this day have those same tires on my truck,almost10 yrs later,and still have tread left,and still ride smooth!...,,,Seriously ;) You might pay more for Michelin,but hands down you get your moneys worth!It is NOT only the name Michelin that makes people but your tires,it is performance and satisfaction,hands down the best and safest tire money can buy!Thx.....;)

Defender is a great tire, could not have picked a better day to replace my Wanglers. Felt like I was driving a different truck with the Michelins final on, quite, good control, ride that feels like your floating. Only draw back to me I always felt like I was driving 10 MPH slower. Had to keep my eye on speed until I adjust to them. Highly recommend.

Bought these tires for my vehicle and after only 31000 miles, was back at the tire dealership shopping for new tires due to the excessive treadwear. This was the second set, both of which came way short of the mileage rating. Have been a life long purchaser of Michelin tires due to the quality and ride but these were a huge let down. Grateful for having a terrific dealer that was interested in trying to find a suitable replacement in a different brand. Not what I expected from Michelin.
