Excellent tire for my 2001 Tacoma 4x4. Very quiet when new then went through a period of slight tire noise then back to unnoticeable. Traction has been steady throughout the first 45000 miles. Will replace with this identical tire if or when it becomes necessary. Considered this tire for my new Tacoma but purchased the Latitude Tour. Happy with that choice so far however only 3500 miles on that vehicle and tire.

This is the second set of Michelin LTX M/S tires I have had on my Ford Explorer. They are absolutely the best tire I have ever used on any vehicle. Great Appearance, Outstanding Traction, and Unbeatable Mileage. I get 60,000 miles of use out of them, no kidding! I will never buy any other SUV tire.

Knew what to expect. Went with what came on vehicle and I am glad I did. Quiet ride and and makes vehicle handle great. Without a doubt, Michelin makes the best tire. May be less expensive tire available, but you will not be sorry for choosing Michelin.

I have not driven that many miles on my new tires, yet. However, to date they have provided a comfortable ride and good gas mileage. When I first saw the tires, I note\iced that the tread was more "aggressive" than the tires I replaced. I was somewhat fearful that this tread might result in poorer gas mileage, but to date this has not occurred. In fact, I seem to be getting slightly better mileage.

End of tire thread's review ! After 20 months on our 2010 Chevy Suburban service vehicle and 135000 miles of New England Driving conditions these definitely are the best tires we ever had on vehicle. ( lots of Highway driving some occasional dirt roads ) Rotated as recommended and kept correct PSI. These tires IMO are the best !!!!

Bought new Michelin 18” Defender LTX M/S2 tires for a Ford F250 to replace Michelins that had come with the truck. My old tires were smooth as silk and I actually got more miles from them than the warranty. However, the new tires vibrated badly, so I had them rebalanced twice, with no improvement. Michelin replaced the tires under warranty, but the new tires also vibrate badly. I took them to another shop that had a road force balancer and paid out of my own pocket to have them rebalanced again. There was some improvement, but there’s still a significant amount of vibration. I'm very disappointed in these tires.

I purchased a set of Michelin Defender LTX for my wife's Lincoln today... Wow, What a difference from the OEM Pirelli's that came on it new.. We commented many times about how disappointed we were with all the road noise this Lincoln had.. Little did we know it was the Pirelli's. After two sets of them I wanted to try something else and low and behold, the New Michelin's did the trick. The road noise from the car is sooo much quieter now. I wont be putting Pirelli's back on this car again!

The prior generation of these tires were awesome. Absolutely loved them. Quiet, durable, and long lasting. Bought these thinking that I would get the same service and quality. But I have to say that I can't stand them because they absolutely ROAR going down the highway. They are the loudest set of tires I have ever owned. I have owned off-road tires that don't make as much noise as these. If the amount of noise these tires make rolling down the highway matters to you, DO NOT BUY THESE TIRES! I wish I could get my money back...

these tires lasted 130,000 miles and still were not quite down to the wear bars. vehicle is a 2000 ford explorer and while i did not beat them up this suv is not babied either. even late in the tread life they performed extremely well in the rain and snow. the new LTX M/S 2's are even better starting and stopping in the rain. i do not believe that there is a better tire on the market, at least in this application.

I was very happy with these tires for the first 5 months, smooth and quiet. As soon as our weather turned cold in October the tire compound hardened and they get loud and have a terrible vibration. They got progressively worse through the winter. I rotated on schedule and had the alignment checked and adjusted (if needed) at each rotation. My dealer said he had others experience the same type of issues. I will be replacing these tires with less than a years worth of use. Very disappointing considering the small fortune they cost. I had the Premier LTX prior to this set. They only got 43,000 miles out of the 60,000. I’m 0-2 on Michelin.
