Yes, it takes up some room in your garage and you might not use it frequently, but in Houston hurricane season it is worth it to be prepared. This won't power your whole house, but it will keep the refrigerator running and a couple other things powered in the event the electricity goes out.

I love the generator. It works excellent, just as expected. Starts immediately and runs well; provides the power I need when required. The only complaint I have is the noise level when running. Surely Generac could or should have equipped the generator with a muffler system to quieten the sound emitted.

very easy to set up and started right up. only problem I found was trying to find out how much oil the motor holds. did not find it in the manual. put oil in and kept checking dipstick until it was full. that was the only flaw I can find with it.noise level is a lot less than the generator it is replacing. if you need a big generator I would recommend this one.

There are two minor suggestions to improve the handling of the generator. One: The handle is too high for a person of average height. In order to move the generator I have to bend my arms. Two: The supports in the rear to balance the generator are made from very thin sheet metal easily bent. Yoram Manor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We own the house at the very back of our cul-de-sac which just happens to be on a separate utility line from the rest of our neighbors. We lose power for a few hours quite often, and it becomes very inconvenient if you're in the middle of dinner, or the big game is on! We love the ease of hookup in the Generac generator we got. Wheel it out, start it up and plug in! The CO2 monitor built in is extra peace of mind for us. We are now going to have the transfer switch installed to make it even easier! I live in a single home with oil heat and during the winter I need something to run all of the major things in the house if my power is lost this generator for the price is the best purchase that I've ever made it starts every time on the first or second pull I never had a problem with the needing more power than it supplies and if I do overload the circuit The Breakers work and help me to be confident so that my family is not left in the dark

I just purchased a GP7500E generator. Installing the wheels and handle was easy and after adding the included liter of oil and a little gasoline, it started up immediately when I hit the start switch. I shut it off and tried the recoil starter as well and it started right up. I tested it with a power saw and had no issues. It is a little load, but much better than my previous 4000 watt generator. I am glad to know if we lose power in the next storm, we will be able to keep the lights on, have water and heat and keep the sump pump running. It gives me peace of mind.

I will be getting a quote for the home standby system as soon as possible. In Florida, a generator is as necessary as homeowners insurance.

I recently installed a power inlet box to my breaker panel and purchased this generator to to power the house in case of a power outage. I have tested it a couple times now and it works great. Electric start would be nice but its really not needed. This generator is easy to pull start and starts on the 1st pull every time.
