This product fulfilled my needs

It was easy to put together, add wheels, handles, added oil/gas. Even though it has electric start, just before starting, I pulled the cord very lightly just to ensure the oil was distributed, the unit started! Very reliable! The electric start works too. Would recommend.

Great Quality & Price

After many many weeks of research online and through fellow friends and co-workers I finally decided to go with the overall top recommended brand Generac. I went to Lowe's to pick up my unit when I get home I was like a kid in a candy store looking at all of the features and how well it was made very impressed to find great craftsmanship and equality is still preserved in these hard working machines. I definitely recommend Generac has the top brand especially flipping in the mountains of New England where power outages are common.

Cost effective and easy to setup

After close to a week with no power I decided it was a good time to look for a generator powerful enough to get everything we absolutely need. The 7500E only took about 10 minutes to setup but keep in mind you should have 2 people to easily unpack and setup otherwise it will be a little more difficult but not impossible. Parts seem strong enough and the unit started right up and runs pretty smooth. Can't say I wouldn't like to see a more quiet units but it's not terribly loud either. Overall, very happy.

Two critical FAILURES during 11 day outage!

I purchased the GP1800 to power a natural gas forced hot air unit. After losing power during hurricane Sandy, I used it for most of the first day and night to keep my wife and child warm. I returned home from work to find that the recoil starter assembly had failed, causing the recoil assembly to spin with the crankshaft of the engine, effectively destroying itself. I was able to remove the assembly and start the unit with a length of para-cord. On day 7 of our outage, only using the unit for approx. 6 hours per day to alternately power the heat and 2 refrigerators (individually), the unit just stopped working. The engine had seized, crankshaft unable to move at all. Oil level was okay and was checked every morning before start-up. Hopefully warranty service will be able to repair or replace unit!

overall a great product!

Got my generator yesterday, a day sooner than I expected. The delivery man was very nice and pleasant to talk to. Opened up the generator and was pleased with the look. It took a day to find time to get it running, but when we did it ran just fine. we have a Generac 5000 that doesn't have the electric start and my husband can no longer start it, that is the reason for the new one.. Thought we could hook it up to the old switch, but it is only good for 6000 watts, so must get that problem resolved. other than that, very pleased!

Best generator ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It arrived in excellent condition, assembling was very easy less than 10mins and worked amazing. I love that it has many functions and can power just about anything. Very useful now that the winter weather is coming and electricity tends to go out.

Bring on Winter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We live in the country and we have had some hard winters when the electric has been out. We have been wanting a generator for a good while, and finally got one. I didn't know anything about this brand, but "wow"! It had very little assembly out of the box. It is very sturdy and came with large wheels and a handle that uses both hands to keep it balanced, which makes it easy to maneuver. The handle locks in place and folds down when you don't need it. I was really surprised at the features it had. It had 4 plugs, and a 220 volt plug for larger appliances, like a washer or stove. Of course it's not winter, but when the power goes out we will be ready! We hooked it up to our power washer and was able to go beyond what we can usually do around the house. It started with the first pull and had the power to run various items that we tested it with, such as the power washer, welder and we even plugged it into a small camper to run the lights, etc. We are almost wanting a hard winter, just so we can use it. I am very happy with this generator and feel that it will last a lifetime. There is nothing flimsy about it and I think they thought of just about everything with this. I realize we didn't get to try it out for very long, but I can't think of any cons to this generator.

Quality Product made in the USA

The salesman was very helpful. every thing was in the box, great instructions. Put the wheels on, the front rubber pads, the handle, hooked up the battery cables, put the provided oil in, put gas in & started it right up. The reason I bought a Generac was that I also have a Generac pressure washer that is just as easy to start with a rope pull. Great company & products.

dont waste your money

i have 12.2 hours on this junk. It stays in a climate controlled garage when not being used, i run ethanol free gas only and drain the gas out when its done. We lost power the other night so i went to start it, it wont start and all it does is leak gas out of the carburetor. For what this junk costs its unbelievable how cheap it is

Plastic and cotter pins.

So far seems like a good generator. That said there is more plastic than on my older 5000 (ie choke lever). One definite disappointment is the really cheap and flimsy old fashioned cotter pins used to hold the wheels on. Why not use a self retaining hex as on the handle and feet or at least a heavier slide on style retainer clip????
