this is my second generac, the first one is 13 years old and still runs perfectly . The new gp 7500 has the power I need currently and I'll keep my old 4000 extended life unit as a backup.

12/22/13 michigan ice storm, my old gen quit after 2 hr, battle creek and most of michigan sold out of good gen ( plenty of off brands ) had to drive 1 hr to angola in to get this one, so far worth the driv, was up and running in 3o min

I purchased this generator for backing up critical appliances in our home and use out at the farm. Exceeds my expectations by far! Electric start is definitely a huge plus.

During the recent hard freeze here in Texas this generator was put to good use and performed very well. Made the situation here tolerable for the entire week of the freeze.

I've only had to use the generator twice due to power outages, but it ran all the lights, two refrigerators (and freezers) and the 1.5 horse well pump perfectly. However, it is a bit loud.

The 8000 starts easily. Provides good and reliable power, and is not loud. I have enjoyed using it to power tools on our farm and have already tested the backup power potential. Works great.

I have always heard good things about Generac. Although I have not had the opportunity to use it yet, it seems to be very sturdy and has some great features.

Needed an affordable generator to run outdoor burner heat system and well pump and lights when power is out. Easy to start and operates quietly. Nice peace of mind to have without breaking the bank.

I picked this unit up on sale and am very pleased with the features I received for the money I paid. This generator will power the biggest share of my house and is still portable enough to take to my cabin. Can't imagine how I got by with out it.
