Improper Voltage and Frequency

First run under load. 260 volts and 62.4 hertz I would like the instructions to adjust this. No service in my area. I would have to drive 80 miles to a shop that may be able to adjust this. The current fuel prices don't allow me too make two 160 mile trips . They will not take it back because I have run it. Running it, is the only way I found out it was not outputting proper voltage and frequency. Does anybody know where to adjust the xd5000E voltage This obviously was never checked at the factory before it was sent out. I am capable to do this.

WORKED LIKE A CHARM. WILL NEVER BE WITHOUT IT!

Bought generator and brought it home. Carton showed a 20amp cord, however none at Lowe's contained a cord. Generac finally sent me one (not one but two! separate shipments) I purchased a 30 amp cord from Amazon in order to connect to my house panel. The 1st power outage lasted about 5 hours...but what a blessing to have the generator. I ran everything in the household but my air conditioner! It may have powered it but with use of elec oven and microwave, etc, did not not wish to chance it. WORKED WONDERFULLY!! Thanks Generac staff and crews!

Great value for the price

Purchased the GP7500E (special sale price) at Canadian Tire. Assembled and started right up on first try. Appears to be a good quality unit, great value for the price. Just wish it came with a float charger instead of the supplied batter charger so it could be left plugged in at all times.

7500E generator

I purchased this product due to several power outages in the last months. Easy set up, with the electric start makes this product above the rest. I recommend this product to anyone and everyone. I also use this when I'm building a new barn or sheds. When ever you need power away from a power source, this product will take care of all your power needs !!! Excellent Product !!

Excellent Genset

This particular model has enough available power to run an average 3 bed room house including the furnace and refrigerator. To ensure a no overload condition have refrigerator turned off until furnace or ac kicks in then turn on. Easy to maintain and easy starting.

Great product for the price.

Unit now showing 25 hrs. Bought after storm took out the electrical service drop. Put together and had up and running in less than an hour. Operation is straight forward and pretty much plug and play so to speak. Only thing I noticed was the powder coating on the frame seemed very thin in places. could have been a little thicker. This is not a game changer just something I noticed. When you add the oil the first time try to have a long neck funnel, it's a whole lot easier to hit the opening to add the oil. Look forward to many years usage from this unit.

I'm 77 Years Old and I Unpacked and Assembled it By Myself!

My 17500E arrived and after helping the delivery associate get it up the driveway, I lifted the outer carton off the two, yes two, pallets on which it was bolted. First I removed the battery from its mount; and then placed a couple of furniture pads at the end of the pallet on the generator side (choose this because choosing the wrong end would place the generator weight on the electrical panel). Following that I pulled (jerked) the unit off the double pallets (save the bracket's & hardware) and let it glide off the pallets and onto it's frame. With little effort it pivoted up onto the end of the frame where I easily installed the wheels and the front leg assembly. That done I simply rotated it back to the ground, and was amazed that the balance of the unit actually helped bring it to a normal upright position. all that was left was install the handle, which by the way took Phillip's screw driver to hold alignment of the holes while the first one on each side was placed; and reinstall the battery. The reason I mentioned saving the pallet hardware will be evident as soon as you see them. I can imagine a million uses for the brackets down the road, and some of the bolts with locking nuts seemed to me to be a more robust choice for attaching the battery terminals than the ones' intended for the purpose. I can assure you that whining about the weight won't get the job done, but using one's brain makes an average afternoon's project out of the process.

Great generator for power backup

I purchased the GP7500E to replace a smaller 3250 generator to provide backup power for my house. Last December we had a power outage in the middle of a winter storm, the smaller generator worked for a few items, but I wanted to power more circuits in the house. I installed a transfer switch so I can power the furnace, refrigerator, TV, computer and several lights in the house I assembled the generator, added oil, gas and connected the battery. It fired up right away! I definitely like the battery start! I did a test run on the house and everything powered up as expected, now to wait for the next power outage.

very good value

After many hours of research I decided upon the Generac GP 6500. It will generate all the Power my family and I will need in case of an emergency. Hope to never really have to use it but it gives us a sense of security in case we do. Put the oil and gas in it and it started right up. Good investment.

Works Great for Us..

I purchased this model for my , home back power supply. It can handle all my needs such as power all my outlets , well pump , T.V. & Satellite . I been with out a gen before for over a week . You should speak to your local electrician about what you plan on powering . I can Run my electric hot water heater , but have to turn other things off if I need to make some hot water. we didn't feel it was necessary go larger , just to make hot water once a day .I highly recommend speaking to electrician before any purchase for all your needs electrical needs if you want a home back generator .
