92000 miles

I purchased a set of these after having cheaper tires cupping and camber wear. I now have 92000 miles (25000 of those towing) on them and they still have thousands of miles left to go. They look brand new and dont wear irregularly like cheaper tires. Incredibly quite and smooth ride.

Nice tires

The tires have a great ride and feel. I have noticed that I am getting about 2 miles per gallon less than my old tires. I realize it could be a variety of things but my driving habits are about the same. It is the beginning of winter so maybe that has something to do with it.

Smooth ride, excellent steering response.

Bought these tires about 4 months ago. They have about 5k miles so far. They are so much smoother and better steering response than the Toyos that came on vehicle. I have had two other sets of these on other vehicles in the past. I'm sure these will deliver the same excellent quality my others have. They are a bit pricey but you get what you pay for.

Most dependable tires on the market.

I won't buy any other tires. The Michelins that I replaced on my GMC Sierra truck had 101,000 miles and had plenty of tread remaining. The new Michelins are amazing and the ride is even better than before with the 3 year old set. I'm a Michelin tire fan for life. Getting ready to put a new set on my GMC Yukon XL.

Not at all satisfied

Purchase these tire based on past experience with Michelin. Returned the next day with a vibration thought it was bad balancing, the second balancing did nothing complained with no results. A few weeks later went to my dealer and had the tires balanced again but to no avail. Returned to the supplier that I staled them and was told the they had found a problem with some on these tires. Asked for resolution and was told it was complicated. Finally they will replace these defective tires but I will have to pay for the wear on them. This is not rite as I have been complains since day one. No happy about this at all.

A new version of an already excellent tire!

Have had direct experience with this particular tire since 2006 when they were supplied as original equipment on the Honda Ridgeline. Now as a retired import technician, I can honestly say that I have never seen a problem with these tires under normal driving conditions. With normal tire rotation, tire pressure checks, and correct wheel alignment, I have seen them last well past 130,000 kilometres before reaching the wear markers. They are a great tire for light duty trucks and SUV's. I personally recommended and installed these tires to many customer vehicles with very positive results always. I can say with confidence that my recent set of improved LTX Defenders that I installed on my 2008 Honda Ridgeline have exceeded expectations. They are quiet, have great road feel, and improved grip in slippery conditions.

Long life

My Michelin Defender LTS M/S are now 83,000 miles and 5 years old and still have a few hundred miles left over. I keep very good care of them and rotate them every oil change. With time tires get hard and performance gets compromised so with this heavy rains is better to change. If you get such a long life is not such a big investment at all. I strongly recommend this tire which was the OEM on my F150.

Disappointed

When I originally purchased my truck it had the LTX MS. They lasted a total of two years and about 35000k when they were so weather cracked I was afraid of them blowing. As the truck was 2 years old had them replaced under warranty. Three years later and 45000k, again they were weather cracked. As they no longer make the straight LTX , I had to have them replaced with the defender LTX MS. They pick up stones like no ones business. If it wasn't for the mud flaps I would be repainting the bottom half of the truck. A terrible amount of road noise to boot. They do perform almost as well in winter , but not as well as the original LTX. These tires have been on a year, and if I have to replace them again in a year or two, I may be navigating out of the Michelin line..

Best Tires on the Road

I bought this set of Defender LTX M/S tires last week for my 2021 RAM 1500 Limited. As soon as I started driving the truck with the new tires I couldn't help but notice how much smoother and quieter my ride was. Now this truck already rides like a fine luxury car but the difference these tires make is very noticeable to me. In addition to the comfort improvement you won't find a better tire for wet traction any where. I have owned 5 sets of these tires between my wife's 4Runners and my trucks and truly believe these are the safest and best tires you can buy especially for highway use. They last a long time too. They are not the cheapest but are the best and in the long run the best value for keeping you safe and getting long service from the tires.

Terrible Tramlining

I have always liked the performance of my Michelin tires but the tramlining on this set is a definite negative. I truly would not have purchase them had I known that it would be this noticeable. I needed new tires for my Jeep Grand Cherokee and I put on about 35K miles a year so I didn't hesitate getting these as I have never had this problem with other Michelin's on my cars. Very irritating considering half of my daily commute is on grooved pavement.
