Wears out very fast

I had these on a caravan which I no longer have but I still have the tires. They were quiet and grippy and were amazing in all the rain we get in North Vancouver BC. I thought they were the best tire I ever owned. However after only 5000km there is only 5mm of the original 8mm of tread left on all 4 tires so they are 35% worn out already. They will not last 15,000 km and are supposed to be a 100,000km tire.

Poor treadwear life expectancy

I have a 2018 GMC Acadia with the Premier LTX tires. I was told by my dealer that I will need new tires soon as they are worn to 4/32". I only have 42000km on them, 5 months of the year I have snowtires on. I drive very conservatively, and not far or hard. Very poor life expectancy on these Michelins.

Premature tire wear

Tires came on a NEW vehicle and rotated by the dealer every 5000 miles. At 20,000 miles the dealer measured the tread-ware and stated replacement will soon be needed. Nowhere near the 60,000 mile tread-ware life advertised on the Michelin website. I would NOT recommend these tires !!!

Don’t be fooled

My originals on my Lincoln MKX were the premiere Ltx but the tread life was subpar so when it came time for new tires the tire dealer said the premieres were not available and said the latitude were comparable so persuaded me to get them. Big mistake! Don’t be fooled into switching. I’ve only driven 6600 miles on the latitude and can’t stand them. They have excessive road noise, bumpy ride and does not repel rain water on roadways. I went back and traded in the latitude and put the premiere Ltx back on my Lincoln. I refuse to sacrifice a luxury smooth ride with the premieres for a bumpy noisy ride in the latitudes just to get a little extra tread life. I highly recommend the premieres.

2020 Chevrolet Blazer with Michelin OE Tires

I just took my 2020 Chevrolet Blazer into my local Dealer (12/1/2020) and the service advisor looked at the Michelin Premier LTX tires with 17K+ miles and said he did not think the Technician would even rotate them because they were worn down too much. This in on a 2020 Chevrolet Blazer with between 17K-18K miles. I have leased many many vehicles over my 30 years of leasing vehicles and I have never come across this before or heard of this with an Michelin Original Equipment Tire. I will be filing multiple claims with federal and local agencies tomorrow.

Worst tire ever

These tires came with a new2017 GMC Acadia and are terrible. These tires are dangerous, they hydroplane with very minimal rain And when you look at the tread pattern, there’s no place for the water to escape. I don’t understand what the engineers were thinking with this design. Very reluctant to use these tires when it rains due to the inability to control the vehicle at low speed.

ABYSMAL TREAD LIFE - ONLY 20,000 MILES

I have purchased Michelin tires for years and have been extremely happy with them until purchasing these tires. After 8 months and only 20,000 miles I had to replace the tires. It is a good thing I carefully followed the extremely rigid rotation requirements or I wouldn't have gotten any credit for the miles of the warranty that the tires were short on. Early on the tires were great but in the end wet traction was scary. I won't ever put the Michelin Premier LTX on my car again. I have seen multiple reviews with the same complaint regarding these tires.

Poor treadlife performance

These tires were stock on my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee. They performed well when they were new; however, upon recent inspection the treads are worn down (~2/32”) and require replacement after only 32k miles. The tires were rotated at 5k and always maintained at the proper pressure. Very disappointed in the short life span, especially considering how much these tires cost.

Surprise feature not welcome

Bought these to replace same size tires from a 2nd string manufacturer. OEM tires had NOT been rotated and were SHOT at 35000 miles. Kumhos lasted nearly 40,000, were rotated regularly and would have gone longer except the tread was right at the wear bars and the rainy season was a month away. Now? to find out, the Michelin tire, which was supposed to be a 'premium' tire came with 8.5 32s of tread depth. Not 11/32 or even 10/32. 8.5 At a recent oil change the dealer informed me I had 7/32s remaining. Quite a shock considering I haven't even had the FIRST rotation yet. That's almost 30% of the useful tread in <5000 miles. Recommending such a High Dollar tire would be difficult for me. I rather doubt, based on first tread depth measure that this tire will last any better than the Other Guy which was 5/8 the price. I got better wear out of the Michelin tires on my S2000 which I Expected to go quickly given dedicated front / rear sizing and the nature of the beast.

225/60H x 18 - Premier LTX worn out 17,000 miles

On 9/10/2018 I replaced the factory provided tires on my 2015 CRV Touring. Factory tires had 37,064 on them. I read all the great reviews and paid up for quality so I thought. I have 54,000 on my car roughly garaged car. Tread @ 5/32 regular rotation by Honda dealerships. Any tire should get you between 35,000-40,000 miles. Quality is “unacceptable” on the Premier LTX and Michelin should be taking any negative reviews very seriously because these tires are on a lot of SUVs.
