I'm only giving this a four star rating for the sole fact that I have only had modelo on draft and in a bottle, never a can! Adding a slice of lime or two to your beer makes it an entire new experience! I would try this Mexican beer next time you are at your local Mexican restaurant!!!

My favorite cheap beer on the market. Something about the flavor of this beer just works remarkably well for me. Nice flavor and I can make micheladas with this and they are perfect. Please hope they never discontinue this beer my heart will be broken. 

I usually don't drink, but this was actually really good! I had it in glass bottles with some friends a couple weeks ago and I normally hate beer but ended up really like these! It was definitely a fun evening! Highly recommend Modelo Especial Mexican Import Beer

Honestly I just liked the packaging & the bottle . It is unique to all the other ones . Its not great but it's not the worst for sure . Don't drink and drive & most of all do not drink unless you are over the age of 21 . This item is affordable & would recommend.

Great taste, good alternative to corona. Foil wrapping around the top is a tad annoying. You either spend too much time peeling the foil or you end up with the foil in your mouth as you drink it. Good only if you have time to peel the foil back or you're planning to drink out of a glass.

Pretty good and smooth flavor that really shines when it's ice cold. For trying the first time I was impressed with the bottle design and the gold wrapper that gives it a fun and luxurious look. It's good but I don't think it's a taste I would enjoy all the time but every now and then it would be a nice beverage to drink!

Someone offered me a modelo and I had never had one. I'm a beer drinker so I asked them to compare modelo to something else. They said it's similar to Corona but better. I couldn't agree more! It's so flavorful and crisp, Corona almost seems watered down in comparison.

I don't get why beers like this don't get any love. It's tasty. It's not complex. It's refreshing. Clear bronze, nice carbonation. Crisp, clean, I guess you could say it's got a typical AAL taste. I like the feel-it's not thin and watery. I'm glad my neighbor gave me one of these, as I normally wouldn't buy it, but for a macro, it's good.

It's been seven years, since the best vacation ever in Cancun, Mexico. Actually the entire Yucatán Peninsula, as I do look forward to another trip. On a bus trip there I enjoyed Modelo Especial beer, or as the locals called it “cerveza frio.” That's how I like my beer, and getting a case last week, the price was higher than expected. It is an import from Mexico, and plus inflation is at record levels. At least it's cheaper than gasoline, which is making my fill ups, bring along something to drink away the pain with. That was a joke, as I please ask respectfully, don't drink and drive. Modelo is interesting. This is a good beer, but it lacks the distinctive taste to be considered anything above that. It's a light beer with corn and honey notes. Very smooth too, and I think people will for the most part think it's decent. Yet I doubt anyone hoists superlatives at this particular brew. They have a ways to go for that. Still I was happy for the stroll down memory road, and enjoyed this with various meals.

The worst beer in the world is here in the United States, not far from Mexico. The flavor is special. Here in the USA it comes and is very burnt or stale as we say there. Poor people here have nothing else to consume but this aged, stale, bad tasting beer all the time. The recommendation is not to store it for a long time. The flavor and freshness are far from reality.
