I am a new owner of BF Foodrich

I work for the USPS. and deliver mail, usually I just buy cheep off brand tires , this last time I wanted tires to last so I got BF Goodrich for my 2005 jeep wrangler,I am so pleased with them I got a set for my backup 1989 ,jeep wrangler, and also my husband needed tires for his 1999 F350,so we got another set of 6, He said the truck never rode so well, even better than Michelin in which he has always purchased, we also have a 2008 Chevy Silverado we will purchase BF Goodrich when it needs new rubber, WE LOVE THEM

Amazing Tire on my RV

I purchased the Commercial TA 2 for my older class A motor-home in 285/35/16 and what a tire! So smooth going down the highway, great traction and the tire has been holding up very well considering the weight of the vehicle. You get what you pay for! These tires are made in the U.S.A. and you will not be disappointed. If you cannot afford to buy 6 at once, at least buy two for your front steering wheels and save until you can replace the back four. Thats what I did and am happy I did that!

BELIEVE IT OR NOT

I bought a set of 7 for my dually (6+1 spare) in 2005. 70,000 miles and 13 years later the original 4 rear tires are still there and still have an amazing amount of tread left. They out lasted my transmission. I'm going to replace soon just because of old age I guess. BFGoodrich tires have always been good to me.

Commercial T/A All-Season 2 LT245/75R16 LRE M+S

Recommended by our independent tire dealer, these were installed on my 2012 E250 Super Duty Econoline at 99,000 miles, and used in courier service here on the Big Island of Hawaii. Now at 120,000 miles with 5,000 mile rotations, I see no significant treadwear and have had absolutely no problems. The same dealer installed adjustable camber/caster bushings previously and there has been no need for alignment. Excellent wet traction performance in standing water which we regularly experience here in otherwise hot and dry conditions. I've noticed most tour operators and other operators of dual rear wheel vans also use these Commercial T/A 2's. On my van, these replaced Hankook DynaPro HT's which were also very good and ran 70,000 miles, but these are a definite upgrade. If this set of four make it to 50,000 miles I'll update this posting if possible and expect to upgrade to a 5-star rating.

All good, except for road noise

These tires create a load of road noise, even at lower speeds. Other than that, they do what they are supposed to. Installed on a small RV with dually's in the rear. And now for the disclaimer: - All 6 tires were bought new and installed at the same time. - At the time of installation, all wheels were balanced and the alignment adjusted. - Vehicle is dealership maintained with newer parts, no 'play' anywhere, all tight. - Tires are operated according to manufacturers directions

265/75 16 Steel Belt Separation

Like another review, Nels, 2 - 265/75 16 Commercial T/A tires separated after approximately 31K miles, or about half of the life of the tire. Since 2003 and 7 of these tires, they are the first to give-up. I feel like this is a manufactures defect based on the nature of failure and the time frame between said failure, (ie both tires failed within a week of each other). The tires were not abused and show no signs of abuse, no side wall damage, no tread 'cupping' due to improper alignment or balancing etc...near perfect tread wear. And, both tires were mounted on the rear. Therefore, I feel BG Goodrich should honor complete replacement of both tires, not pro-rated.

Bald after 25000 miles

I've only had them for a year. About 500 miles of the 25000 I've racked up so far where towing the 5th wheel. Easily the fastest wearing tires I've ever had. Pretty decent on snow and ice at low speeds wouldn't go any faster then 20mph. Utterly unusable in mud.

Scary

We purchased six of these tires replacing the original Michelin tires that were six years old. We use the tires on our motorhome. Initially, we felt very safe with the new set of tires. Unfortunately, after only two years and less than 4200 miles the driver-side outside double exploded blowing the tread completely off on a busy I-5 northbound. We were in the middle of our vacation. The blowout damaged the side of our motorhome completely destroying the wheel well trim. Needless to say, completing our travel home was quite unsettling. We were afraid that another tire was going to do the same thing. Even after the tire had been replaced we were still are anxious about driving the motorhome anywhere, The replacement tire was the next generation model indicating to us that other failures had been recorded. We feel strongly that all of the remaining tires be recalled. It is a serious safety factor, my colleagues were amazed that I did not loose control. If another tread separation happens who knows what could happen. With that said, my family and i are not comfortable driving on these tires. We are aware of a current recall of another series of T/A All Season tires that had major thread separations. Can we expect a similar recall?

I would not buy this tire for a RV.

I put 6 of these tires, 225/75/16 on my RV. While driving on RT 4 leaving Orlando the inside right rear tire completely came apart. Tore up my exhaust system, my inner fender and dented the storage compartment. I should also mention the damage it did to the car I was towing. I lost a front LED marker light on the tow dolly, broke the right front hub cap on the car and put a nice gouge in the paint. This was not a very good night for us and I would not recommend these tires for heavy hauling. BFG recalled the same tire in a different size. It's time for this size too.
