[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried twice to use the cool air luxe styler to curl my hair. The first time I followed the suggested temperature for my hair. It didn't curl the hair at all. I was able to somewhat use the straightner. The second time, I tried a higher temp. It only curled the ends of my hair no matter how many times and ways I tried. It looked silly to only have the bottom inch somewhat curly. The straightener worked better on the higher temp. I did not notice the cool air. I could hear it as it sounded like a travel blow dryer. I tried moving my hand around and did not notice any cool air (or any air) blowing out of it. I also think my dedicated straightener works better than this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It heats up quickly, never pulls or pinches any of my hair, and painlessly creates beautiful curls. The plates slide effortlessly over my hair sections while the air blows gently, and I have my hair styled in a matter of a couple of minutes. It truly is amazing and is actually way better than I expected! I would absolutely recommend this to anyone. I have extremely fine hair, and it styles it beautifully and the style holds all day.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All around I found it more difficult and time consuming compared to other products that I use. It did leave my hair smooth and shiny in some parts but it was not easy to use. I used small sections of hair. The hair that wrapped around would tighten the plates, causing the hair to pass through to get stuck or pull hair out of scalp. The plates were too short and hair would slip out of side. There was no place for fingers to grip at the end for better control. Upon turning the device, I kept accidentally pressing buttons and turning off or turning up the temp. Perhaps it would work better if it had small teeth on side of plates so hair can pass through without slipping out. Adding a knob at the end for fingers to grip for better control. Maybe switches instead of buttons would work better or a sliding cover that goes over the buttons.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall the quality of this product is very good. I first tried it as a flat iron then also as a curling iron. The flat iron works very good and the hair moves smoothly through. I did not have any issues with hairs snagging or with the iron creating creases. When I used it as a curling iron, I found the technique to be a bit difficult to figure out at first. Once I got the hang of it things went smoother. If your technique is not good you may end up with crease marks. I think the fan feature did help with setting both styles and I like that you can turn it off if you don't want to use it. It has appropriate temperature settings and is easy to handle in the hands. For reference I have medium length hair that hits right below my shoulders and is normal thickness. I am not confident this would be the best product for someone with long thick hair. I also think it would be helpful if Conair posted an instructional video for this product. Overall I wouldn't say I love the type of curls it produces. These are not beachy wave curls which are the ones I prefer, but it's good product and will give you curls quick.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how conair incorporated a fan! My hair is not hot to the touch and it really works great for flat ironing. For loose curls it also works good. It gives you that beach waves look. But not that great for tighter curls

The cool air tech is there to set those curls in and does just that! From morning to evening you are good! If you want to wear a straight style, you can do that too! Waves..absolutely! I love that I can have one tool and use it for multiple styles. Which is less to pack when we travel lol.

I was really excited for the opportunity to try this product and was intrigued by the cool air technology. Overall, I found it easy to use and it heats up quickly, though I do wish the power button was in a different location. My hair curled easily and more importantly HELD the curl for a while. I think the cooling fan really makes a difference in helping the curls to set!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Conair Cool Air Luxe Styler is easy to use once you get the hang of it, but there is a learning curve, it took me a few times to get used to it so I took a star off for that reason. It's not effortless, but with nearly all products you can expect needing to learn how to tailor the product to best fit your hair type and desired look. I have fine hair so it was a bit difficult to use at first. What I found for my fine hair is that you should keep the barrel horizontal and turn more than a quarter, more like 180 to 360 degrees in order to get a bit more tension to create a lovely curl. The best thing about this product is that while the fan is a bit noisy (I would not use if not trying to wake up someone else), it truly keeps you from getting hot. Play around with speeds, how much you turn the barrel, and vertical vs horizontal to get the result you want and to find what works best for YOUR hair.

I love that it has multiple heat settings and love that it is a two in one product (hair dryer and straightener) cutting down the amount of time needed to style your hair. The cool dryer really helps hold the style for a longer period of time. Would recommend to others!

The features/options were great. However, I found the instructions lacking. It took me a few tries and patience to even get it to turn on (press the button down a few seconds). Then there was no guide on what temp to use. I was able to figure it out and not burn my hair off, but it was a learning process.
