sidewalls cut easily

Came stock on 2010 Dodge 2500 pickup, 14000 mi. road & highway use , plowed park lot of my business twice in 2011. replaced r/f tire 9/2012 cut in sidewall, was going to rotate spare onto front & buy (1) new tire , new spare had cuts on sidewall just from hanging under truck, cant use new spare. Now have to buy second tire. Not happy!!! I'm sure the warr. will be just as good? Ran BFG radial T/A's for 15 years on 74 pwrwagon, used for lots of plowing & pounded them off road, not one problem!

not for snow

I use these tires for Ice fishing and commuting to and from work on a 2007 dbl cab 4x4 tacoma in the colder months. They look nice have nice white letters on the side, quiet and smooth on the road. These tires come from a manufacturer that makes great tires ie. radial ta's. The bad- From day one they were dangerous in snow. The tread fill up with snow and you have slicks. So if there is any snow on the ground I am in 4 wheel drive. I get stuck in 4 inches of snow on flat asphault without 4wd often. My ABS gets a workout if there is snow. Stopping distances are really really long. Second dry rot is common on these tires in the tread area it doesn't hurt anything but cosmetically I don't like it. I have 35000 miles on them and have 1/8" tread remaining. They have worn evenly with regular rotations and dry traction remains fine. These tires would be fine in a san diego type climate.

Excellent wear and Ride

2500 dodge ram 4x4 diesel 4dr. These tires have 45,000 and still have 45% tread left. I believe they are partly responsible for my good fuel mileage also. I have Never had a tire on a Pickup last like these. Great in heavy rain. No complaints in snow. My off road is occasional and I they have performed well till I get in mud then they just get me by but I have never been stuck either. If you don't have a lot of mud these are the tire. If I had lots of snow I might go with K/O's but this one is doing very well. I will buy these again, just sorry i didn't find these decades ago.

Great tread life

The 2011 Ford F-250 I drive for work came gripped with a set of LT 265/70R17 Rugged Trails. As I sit with 77,489 miles on them today I will surely see 90,000 miles out of them. This truck weighs in at just under 10,000 pounds. I have had no issues with traction here in Oregon over snow or through heavy rains. I have had this set rotated only once, hard to find the time. Even wear regardless. The last set of Rugged Trails I had went 95,000 miles. This beats any other tire I have heard of in the same conditions.

Record Wear

I have a F350 King Ranch Dually and have 138,400 Miles on my original factory BF Goodrich 17" tires, they have never been off the truck to date, and still going. Never rotated, never anything done to them except 1 plug from a nail hole. Maybe have 5,000 miles life left then time for new ones.

Work well for the intended purpose

These are the OEM tires for my 2007 Toyota Tacoma 4X4 Crew Cab. Some reviewers don't like these tires for off-road, deep snow, or mud. These tires are not designed as true off-road tires, BF Goodrich makes other tires better suited for those applications. This on-road tire is a compromise for occasional off-road use and if you understand that, they are good tires. I have a very steep 200 ft. driveway since my house is on a hill in the mountains and even in over 12 inches of snow I haven't been stopped. This past week during hunting season I had to drive off-road to retrieve a deer and had no problems. If you don't know how to drive in snow or off-road there isn't a tire made that will help you. These tires are very quiet compared to off-road tires and wear is respectable. I'm getting over 35,000 miles a set, primarily on-road miles.

Horrible Treadlife

We have a 2011 Nissan Titan Pro4x-this truck was purchased new in dec of 2011 it now has approximately 30,000 miles on it- at 25,000 the tires were worn out- we have had them rotated at every other oil change about 7,000 miles- the truck is a daily driver no heavy towing and has never been off-road- I have always purchased Bfgoodrich tires but these are the worst I've ever seen- I was ecpecting at least 50,000 out of these tires especially after I just priced a set

Weather cracks on sidewall

I bought my 2011 Dodge Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Mega Cab Turbo Diesel truck in November 2012. I like the tires but they seem to be weathering a lot on the sidewalls. They still have plenty of tread left but I am not sure they will last anouther 10,000 miles. I have put about 25000 miles on them (highway mostly). I am taking anouther trip to Arizona next month. The tire is a great tire but I just wonder if this was a bad batch... I am probably going to have to get a new set before my trip.

Great all around truck tire

I am starting my 8th set of these tires that I have had on my 2 3/4 TN Ram trucks. 100,000 miles / set. Great load range E tires that ride smooth on the pavement and still perform well in all weather conditions, as well on gravel roads. I hope they never discontinue this tire!

These replaced a factory ...

These replaced a factory set of Michelin LTXs on my Honda Ridgeline. The Rugged Trails are not as elegant (increased road noise, looser handling) but the overall performance (comfort, directional control, braking, wet performance) is comparable. I do tow a travel trailer. They handle the load better than the LTXs but they do cause a little more wander on the road. I would not want to do daily commuting on these (noisy) but for overall truck utility, they are at a better price point and offer better value than the Michelin LTX.
