I replaced Goodyear tires on my wife’s Acura TLX with a set of Michelin Defender2’s. I also replaced the OE Firestone tires on my mother in law’s Jeep Compass with the Michelin Defender2 tires. My wife and Mother in law immediately told me that their vehicles ride way better, handles better, and it is more quiet in their vehicles. As for the design, I love the way Michele tires look on almost all vehicles. All I can say about the construction and materials is that the tires appear to be made well. I am 53 years old and have never had a Michelin tire let me down. So I trust Michelin enough to use their tires on my family’s vehicles. Needed new tires for my 2019 Chevrolet Traverse. They had Continental tires on them previously. The first and only tire I considered were Michelin tires so I researched SUV tires and chose the Defender 2. What a great looking tire and solid ride and feel.

Despite having nearly 50k miles on my truck, after my new Michelin Defender2 tires were installed, it felt like I was driving a new vehicle. I was so pleasantly surprised I had to let someone know so I texted (using CarPlay of course) my wife and a friend.

I love the defender tire Michelin. The tires gripped the road really well . There was a car on a busy road and I didn’t see it right away and had to use the brakes fast. The tire really stopped quick. I was glad we had a brand new set of Michelin’s on a car.

I chose the tires because they are Canadian made. I've only put about 10,000 km on them but I have noticed that my gas milage is better. I have a RAV4 Hybrid which in summer I was getting 5.4 l/100 km for the past 3 years. I am now getting 5.2 to 5.3 l/km. Not a big saving but I will take it. In old terms that is an improvement of 1 to 2 miles per Imperial gallon. I also feel safer with the new tires as Michelin is known for their high quality.

Bought a set of tires for My Honda Pilot exactly a year ago and the tires are not good! When is wet or damp the traction is horrible, almost had an accident because tires kept spinning luckily nothing happened but I thought this tires were supposed to be good in wet conditions. Went to the place I bought them and they took them back but had to pay the difference for a different set of tires, NOT Michelin! So disappointed!

I used to have Hankook tires on my Honda Civic. They only lasted about 30k miles I had two sets, the one from new and the replacements. Both lasted only 30k and I drive very conservatively. I noticed that my wifes Acura has Michelin tires and has not worn them out after 100,000 miles. So that is 3X longer than my Hankook tires. So now I have Michelin Defender 2 tires and I like the stiffer ride they provide.

My first set of these tires came with the car when I bought it new. I put 55,000 miles on them before I replaced them. Back in the day, I would have driven until I had a flat, but no more. I could have put another 5 K on them, but safety first. Also the traction was a little off.

Made the mistake of purchasing these for my Lexus LS430. it feels like Im riding on sponges, I cannot feel the road and cornering is terrible, it feels like the car is sliding or swaying. I am going to call the tire shop to let them know i cant handle this and what can we do. hopefully if they dont do something michelin will.

Worst tires I have ever owned. I drive a 2015 Honda Odyssey and the Defender 2 makes this car almost indriveable in wet weather. In the rain or on wet pavement from a stop sign there is tire slippage and if I am turning from a stop sign the tires slip to the point that the traction light turns on (I am being very gentle on the throttle). Merging from a turn causes the van to slide and momentarily lose traction. I have had the tires store where I bought these look at them on 2 occasions and nothing visibly wrong with the tire, and I have had repair shops check out the van, and it is fine. I am going into my 3rd winter with these tires and every wet season they have been terrible. Stay away from these tires, especially if you own a 2011-2017 Honda Odyssey.
