Michelin Primacy MXM4 99V (All around great tire)

My 2018 Chrysler 300 Limited with 20" rims came with Firestone tires. I've always used Michelin because they ride better then any other tire I've tried. What a superior manufacture. The Primacy has it all for a touring tire. The 55000 mile tread warranty is at a testament to a well made tire.

My new favorite tire.

I have a 2WD Lexus RX350. Last year i went to the snow with 50% front and 70% rear on another manufacturer tire. Chain restrictions were in effect. I lied, said it was AWD. (DISCLAIMER: I'm a professional driver and a rescue driver (my job to never get stuck) so i have the experience to drive in these conditions. I DO NOT suggest you do the same. It will cost you your life. The purpose of this is for performance comparison.) Any slight hill, my traction light was coming on. I was climbing slight freeway hills at 15-20mph just unable to get traction. Vehicles were stopped ahead on a downhill and it took 800ft to stop from 35mph. This year, i put 4 new Primacy MXM4s on my SUV. Still had plenty of tread from last year's tires but i wasn't about to go through that again. This year the weather was much worse. Much more snow. On the same interstate, my SUV was having no trouble keeping up with the AWD vehicles and 4x4s. It was so bad, some AWD vehicles (Subaru Outback likely with bad tires) had to put chains on. And braking, night and day from last year. Now, all season performance, my SUV was averaging 25mpg with the old tires. 4 of these and I'm seeing 28-29mpg at 65mph on flat ground. That's a significant improvement.

Primacy MXM4- 2012 Acrua TL (Base)

This is my second set of Primacy MXM4's (P245/ 50R17) for my 2012 Acura TL (Base) model, which were replaced on 7-2-16. Through proper maintenance (rotation of tires between 5,000 to 6,000 miles and recommended tire pressure per manufacturer at 32 psi), I was able to obtain 63,000 miles and probably could have got another 5,000 to 7,000 miles (replaced with 4/32 " tread depth still available). My driving consist of a mixture of highway and city driving. The ride comfort and wet traction is excellent. I can't speak well on snow traction being in NC, but when snow and ice were present, the Primacy MXM4s held up well.

Performance, safety, and comfort!

I purchased these tires for a 2008 Honda Civic EX. I have had them for about 30,000 miles. It appears they are good for another 25,000 - 30,000 miles. I was pleased on day 1 and continue to be pleased. I replaced a set of Primacy MXV4 with this set and prefer the MXM4, which offers better handling in my experience. Performance handling, traction, safety, and ride comfort all come together in this nicely "balanced" tire. It works well for me in my application.

David's tires

I use these tires in my everyday driver (2010 Pontiac Vibe). They handle wonderfully and have shortened my braking distance. Overall I feel safe in any road condition. The Vibe is a lot quieter that when the factory tires were on. I love these tires and with these being my first set of Michelin tires, I have a feeling this will be a long lasting relationship (Michelin and Me). Keep up the great work of great tires that keep us safe. David L. Martin

Wearing fast, but decent performance

These came on my 2020 Accord Touring 2.0. They're fine for performance and noise, but as with many others, they wore down significantly faster than most others I've had. I'm very easy on brakes and tires (usually beating tire warranty by around 5000 miles). I measure tread depth each time I service the vehicle and at 36,000 miles, tires were wearing evenly, but already down to 4/32 remaining. By 40k (where I'm at now), I have only 2.5/32 tread depth and will replace at my next service. Typically consumers expect at least 50k miles from factory tires, so they come up short in my opinion.

I had to come up Route 8 ...

I had to come up Route 8 - near the Blue Ridge Parkway last year - wasn't snowing at the bottom of the Mountain, but it was on top. The roads had not been treated and was absolutely terrible - many placed on that road has no guard rails - those tires were amasing - I didn't even slip. No phone reception, no traffic - the tires were a blessing and I won't buy any other

Excellent Tire for Tesla Y.

I have a 2022 Tesla Y LR. I switched to the MXM4 form the OEM Goodyears. I' now have put over 45K on the Michelins and still counting. As an added bonus I've noted I appear to be using about 8% fewer watts per mile than on the OEMs. Very pleased with these tires. As to those whining about short life of these tires -- how are you driving?

Tires for my HHR

I replaced the stock tires on my Chevy HHR with four Michelin Primacy MXM4s. The two most impressive things to me about the tires was the balancing of the wheels/tires and the handling. After mounting the tires to the wheels I found that the weights needed were minimal. I recall one 0.25oz and one 0.5oz were used on one wheel and the change from that throughout the remainder of the tires wasn't much more if at all. The only reason this popped out to me was when removing the weights from the wheel with the stock tire, there were four 0.5oz weights on the inside and some weights on the outside. I can't remember exact amounts (changed tires about 20k miles ago) but it was very noticeable. It was roughly 4-7 weights off and 1-3 weights on, and this factor alone helped to give me confidence about the quality of the product. Concerning handling, I obviously don't drive a sports car but the feeling on the road came into existence. The stock tires had no feedback but with the Michelins it was as if you could feel all four tires when swerving back and forth. Other aspects of the product that impressed me was that the Michelins were quiet, and the tire wear is not too bad seeing that I finally rotated my tires after 20k miles (forgot lol). I drive approx. 60 miles one way to college via the I-10 (no dorm), so I was able to see the difference in the tries relatively quick. I usually go the speed limit or whatever traffic allows (75mph-83mph). Really no complaints at all. Probably the only complaint I'd say would be the price, but you get what you pay for.

Exceed Expectations

The Primacy MXM4 were the tires that came on my 2014 Avalon. I was very pleased with the ride and the life of the tire. After 83,000 miles I just changed my tires to the Premier A/S. The ride of the Primacy MXMA was awesome! When new, I often felt like I was floating in air, the ride was luxury, almost now road noise and the performance was awesome. I live in Kentucky and our Spring season is often extremely wet. My tires always performed well, even the high mileage. Reluctantly purchased new tires, only because the noise level increased. Two days ago, I purchased the Michelin Premiere A/S. Not sure I’m enjoying the quality of the ride as well. It’s a bit stiffer, not the same luxury ride and seem to grip the road vs gliding across the road. However, the verdict is still out.
