I put a dab of peanut butter in these or cream cheese and they taste like a candy bar. I have been purchasing them for over two years and hope they keep them in stock. Simply Delicious!

I purchased 2 pounds of these dates in 2012 and eat them from time to time when I feel like it. I keep them in the fridge and get one out and wash it off and eat it or take it for a snack at work. I am amazed at how long these will keep in the fridge. I have had this container for over 7 months.They have dried out and got harder since I bought them but they are still good and tasty. They are also much cheaper than in the grocery store.

I purchased these dates for an appetizer and they did not disappoint! There are pits but very simple to remove them. Soft, sweet and excellent pricing. I'll be using in smoothies and see if there are other recipes to use the. 2 lbs of dates are a lot of dates. Will see best way to store them too. Definitely recommend.

I love when these dates are fresh and juicy. it often seems like you get a really good pack, them the next is full of hard dry ones. i wish their product had a more consistent quality. lately it seems they are mostly hard. they changed the packing from clear to green, so you cannot visually inspect them before buying, which REALLY sucks.

As I was pitting these, I noticed that many of them had significant amounts of black powder on the inside. I looked it up on the internet and discovered this is Aspergillus mold. It's very lucky I didn't eat any, but I'm sure I did breathe some of it as I saw it get airborne and I did get a headache. As an immunocompromised person with mold sensitivities, this could have been quite dangerous for me to eat. Not so good to breathe either. So be careful and check to make sure the ones you buy are fresh and not moldy. You have to look inside to see the black powder. Fortunately, Sam's has a great return policy, so I was able to get a refund without having to return to the store 1.5 hours away.

I've seen the reviews on bad dates but the package I got had pretty much all good dates. I know this from realizing these "Whole Fresh" dates are not pitted so as I pitted every one of them, I did a cursory inspection and they were all good. The second batch I got, I decided to use the chopstick method of pushing the pit out and all them seemed to be good, no mold, black dust, or living creatures. Had I run into anything that remotely gave me the impression they had bad ones in the batch, I would bring them back. My local Sam's in Folsom is very customer supportive with returns and refunds. I make date paste with these and it comes out great!

Very recently I purchased in store at Laurel, MD almost 8 boxes of these dates on multiple days. Most boxes when opened and used had moldy dates in side.The dates were not of uniform quality. It looked that different grades and sizes were packed in these boxes.These days dates are consumed more often, it is strongly suggested to check each box when buying.

I have been buying these for a long time but this time around I couldn't believe my eyes. I was about to make a snack for my son and luckily I was pitting them before just biting into one for a snack. Every few dates had black powdery mold inside and even found some with little worms. So sad because they're not cheap. I hope this was an isolated incident.
