Replaced original equipment tirres on our Subaru Outback. These tires were recommended by our service people and I think they gave us good information. They seem to ride smoother and quieter than original tires and if the expected treadwear is as we were informed we will be extremely happy with them. I feel that they are a great tire for the price.

- 2 out of 5 stars review6/6/2026Defender 2 on all 4 tires side walls are cracked badly. Never ran low on air. . 90% hwy miles bought in May of 2020 with 137,208 but on new at honeywood now 199,000km. Been a customer at honeywood 40 years the guys there said need to talk to Michelin

These are great tires with amazing traction. Very low road noise to the point that I was hearing my hybrid making sounds that were not noticeable before due to NOISY Dunlop tires. With high milage and the dependability of Michelin, I anticipate a good ride for the next 50K miles. Well done Michelin.

Experienced a major "cloud burst" downpour on the way home on Loop 270 and the tires channelled the water just fine. Even cornering on tight bank turns, the vehicle handled great.

The gripping and at the same time the smooth ride is amazing. The only complaint I have is the rebate, it states 6-8 weeks. It been over 3 months and I’m still waiting.

They grip the road well and braking is good though they are not that quiet on the highway. It's too soon for me to give an accurate estimate about anything else.

Tread seems to be holding up well, though I try not to be too hard on start/stops regardless. Very pleased with them after 9 months.

I hated the way my car sounded when I drove. Coming from a Cadillac CTS, the Edge has loud road noise. I needed new tires and spent the extra money and got the Michelins. Totally changed the ride of the car!!! So smooth and quieter. Feels like a new car! You will not be disappointed!

Better stopping, starting and fuel efficiency are the hallmarks of Michelin products. They improve the ride quality and overall performance of my car.

They feel very plush, no feedback from the road, and just way too soft. Will not buy them again. I drove over 4000 miles in long distance rides. When arrived we feel still swimming. I had the suspicion checked, which according to BMW is good.

They seem to ride nicely as well and look much meatier too. I’m sure I’ll be kicking myself for not paying the extra price for Michelins years ago.

My dealer had a sale price on the set , plus I got an eighty dollar rebate! The old tires were loud on all surfaces. The Michelins are quiet and ride so much better. Plus I expect double the tire wear.

Smooth riding, quiet, traction, and durability are second to none in my book. Also, my local dealer has a lot to do with it as well. Good people, helpful, and I've been dealing with them for a long time.

Recently we had a significant snow fall and we had to make a sudden stop due on the freeway. I was thankful that we had the Michelin Defender 2's. We stopped on a dime without any slippage. I can't comment on wear and durability because I haven't had them long enough but from other reviews that I've read from many sources, these were the "BEST" Recommended tire for my vehicle (Subaru Ascent). The traction and grip on these Michelin Defender2 tires are excellent! I would definitely recommend the Defender2 to others looking for a great set of all season tires.

This vehicle is a medium sized SUV so it is light and has turbo so it is quick to respond to changes in speed or direction. Consequently, we are concerned about the tires ability to be stable on windy highways and grip the road at higher speeds and when turning corners especially in wet weather. Since this is early spring and winter road damage has not yet been repaired, they are surprisingly smooth when going over rough roads and occasional potholes and uneven roads. They are also well priced for this level of performance.

I replaced the tires on my 2021 Honda CRV which only had 28,000 miles and what a difference it made. The ride is smoother, quieter and my car seems to even handle better. I would highly recommend Michelin no matter what series you’ll be getting the best tire even though they are a little pricey you’ll be getting your moneys worth.
