RAPID TREAD WEAR!

Got a set of these tires for our Subaru Forrester 2 1/2 years ago, rode under 37,000 miles with them, and today Subaru service agents are saying they need replacing with treads at 3/32 for two of them, 4/32 for one and 2/32 for the fourth!! How do you get 60,000 miles out of these disappointing Michelin tires? We like Michelin, but now considering other makes. Maybe Michelin is no longer the company it used to be?

TyronWear, sorry to read that your tires need to be replaced but fortunately there is a mileage warranty. One of our team members will be in touch to work with you and your local dealer on initiating a warranty claim.

EXCELENT TIRES

I put these tires on my 2004 Infiniti G35 sedan about 4 years ago. The tires were Michelin's newest offering so I gave them a try. They outlasted the original Goodyear RS-A, Yokohama Envigor and Conti DSW tires by 10,000 miles. The ride was great and the handled as good as the UHP Yokohama tires. I never hydroplaned with them. Out of the 4 sets of tires on the car these were by far the best.

More like 30k mile tires

This is the 2nd set of these tires and both times they only last 30k miles. The first set came new with the car and this last set were replacements bought in Sept 2016 and told by our dealership with our last service that the tires need to be replaced after 30k miles. Car is mainly used for highway commuting and with pandemic we just started traveling again. Fool me one but not twice.

Great tire but wear out in less than 1/2 miles

I put these on my 2012 Expedition after reading good reviews. After 22000 miles on the tires these were down to wear bars and I had a blow out. I went back to the Ford dealer where I bought and they said to buy another set. No warranty coverge disappointing Michelin as I have and my family have been long time customers.

OUTSTANDING TIRES FOR MY MAZDA

I recently bought Michelin A/S tires for my 2013 Mazda 3 iTouring. The old tires were noisy, rough riding, and needed air frequently. When I had the Michelins installed I felt like I was in a different car...quiet, smooth, and great performance on wet roads. These tires are the best tires I have driven on in many years.

Disappointed and shocked - needs replacement at 33K

We bought these tires in January 2020 from Costco. Tires only lasted about 33k miles and now I've been told that they need replacement. We bought the tires at 48,013 miles on our vehicle. Our Vehicle recently hit 81k miles. Car wouldn't pass inspection because of the tires and now i am looking at another expensive tire bill just so i can pass inspection. I was just looking to buy a set of Michelin Defender 2 and thought of checking reviews on the Premier A/S. Glad i did. i have receipts and all from the purchase. Michelin, what can you do to help us here?

Exceeded my expectations

I bought a set of Premier A/S tires in November 2018. I live in Nebraska and was discouraged by the salesman from buying this tire due to their reviews in winter driving conditions. Despite his discouragement I went ahead and bought them. Nebraska had one of the worst winters on record with over 50" of snow in 2018/2019. The tires were outstanding in their performance throughout the winter driving conditions. I am very pleased with the tires and would purchase them again.

Excited - I only wanted Michelin - I tried others

This is really my first set of Michelin tires. I had the opportunity but I made my decision based upon the look of tire and your reputation. I struggled with paying more than the other tires, however I wanted quality and dependability. So I paid more. It's funny even my wife and daughters asked me about my tires and I encouraged them to only purchase Michelin. I would like for us to be a family of Michelin tires. I made my purchase recently, however I know the quality of your tires and I made a choice to pay a little more for the best quality. Thanks again, I am excited about my purchase..

Uses tread fast

I bought these and only got 45,000 miles out of them. One tire is down to 2/32 and the others 3/32. It's rainy season and I don't feel comfortable driving on them anymore, so I'm buying some new tires. I really wanted to get some Michelin Premier A/S again, but unsure if I should do so since they are EXTREMELY expensive for the mileage you get out of them. I always have the tires rotated and balanced, so that's why I'm so disappointed with how long they last. I know it was close, but the Continentals that came with the car got 53k miles, and looked a little better than my current Michelins at 45k miles. I may be able to squeeze another 2k miles out of them, but my family's safety isn't worth risky for those extra miles. I think at minimum for the amount you spend on these you should easily get 50k miles out of them without worry about the safety of driving on them to get your money out of them. Michelin rates these at 60k miles, but I'm 15k miles away from that. I'm torn on buying these again, because they handled awesome in the rain. I will say these handled MUCH better than the Continental ProContacts and Pirelli P7's we used in the past, but the miles you get out of them is just disappointing. The tread is about 8.5/32, which isn't much.

Quiet Confident Predictable MPG & Wet Weather Control.

Had 3 sets on this tire with consistent solid wet weather control and handling. Never felt out of control or overwhelmed in the worst of down pours. Quiet low rolling resistance and steady mid 30's MPG over lifetime. Consistent wear till as long as regularly rotated seeing bars with 14k ~ 10K left and I'm satisfied with that considering I enjoyed pushing them. Slow leaks often appeared more then I feel is normal some occasionally hard to find became an expected norm and tolerable to regular service intervals anyway. I really like this tire and wonder what replaced it or why not very available.
