Horrendously Bad Tread wear

I have always been an avid Michelin user, however this may be my last set purchased. These Premier A/S are junk. I had them installed in May/18, I only run them for spring/summer/fall months before switching over to my X-Ice for winter. They tires have only 38,000 Kms on them max, and they are at the wear bars. I have always paid premium dollar for what I thought was a premium brand tire. Doubt I will again, in fact just purchased a new set of tires for my F150, guess what- they weren’t Michelin’s.

Ahhhhhh, I forgot what quality tires feel like...

Great tires, smooth quiet ride. I replaced competitor tires that I just could not get to balance right, always had a vibration 45mph+ These Michelins were smooth and quiet from the moment they were mounted. Only time will tell as to how they wear. So far very pleased.

Quiet, comfortable ride but wear fast

I was originally happy with the tires but I am shocked how fast they’ve worn. I’ve been following a routine tire rotation schedule. I now have 58k on the tires and they’re worn down to 4/32 already. I have also noticed a decrease in traction when it’s raining. I expected more life from the set.

Fine performance, poor longevity!

I bought four Premier A/S tires on 3-21-2017. They only lasted 27,814 miles before needing replacement (2/32" fronts, 3/32" rears). I always check inflation and had them rotated once at 10,944 elapsed miles. Although I like the ride and wet weather performance of these tires, I am not pleased with the longevity. I achieved less than 50% of the warranty mileage. I also have this type of tire on another car I own. Same longevity issues. Definitely not a 60,000 tire!

Quiet and Comfortable

I have a Chevrolet Cruze Eco that I've put a lot of miles on, and I needed to replace the OEM Assurance Fuel Saver tires. These new Premier A/S tires are quieter, handle better, and have a smoother ride than the originals, which weren't that bad to start with! Fuel economy seems to be equivalent to the original tires (so far). Having a tire that performs well in wet weather, even when worn, is important in western Washington.

Great OEM Replacement

My 2016 Nissan Altima came with Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires. After 50,000 miles it was time for new tires. My local tire shop recommended the Premier A/S. I bought a set and took off for a Thanksgiving road trip. I drove 3000 miles through snow, freezing rain, ice and dry roads. These tires performed better than I had expected. I highly recommend these tires.

Premier AS 92H on 2013 Subaru Legacy

Can't say enough good things about this tire, living in Southern California. Put them on My Legacy with 86k in August of 2017, now I'm at 140k in October 2020 looking at replacement tires (but still have a little ways to go, just getting a jump on it) and will have no reservations about putting these on again. I've had 0 issues with them except for a nail I picked up which was repaired. I've only had to check a tire low low pressure once outside of the nail incident. These tires are rock solid, don't hesitate.

Worn out early

Long time Michelin customer, many sets. 3 years 8 months ago we bought a set of Premier tires for our 2011 Chevrolet Malibu. 31000 miles later tread depth is at 5/32. Almost worn out with only half the warranty miles on them. Always have had a lot of miles on my Michelin’s, never wore out a set, had to replace them due to weather checking. Will still recommend Michelin’s, just not the Premier

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, Silversmith. We would recommend getting a tire inspection at an authorized dealer. Please have the dealer contact us at 866-866-6605 to report their findings.

Sounds like a truck Tire!!!

The ride and handling are great but my wife, who never notices anything, has been asking me why there is so much road noise. If they are this noisy on my Lexus, I can only imagine what it would sound like on a less insulated car. I just realized there is a 30 day guarantee that I missed by 2 days. Now I am stuck with them.

I like this tire for both summer and winter driving.

I have used my Premier A/S tires for both summer and winter driving in South Western Ontario. Firstly on an Acura TL AWD for 40,000 Klms and now on an Infiniti Q50 AWD for 15,000 klms. They are safe, and with 65,000 Klms, I'm told they have 7/32 tread left. I do admit when new they do not look to have as deep a tread as other tires, but I would purchase again. Feel safe in cold weather, under 0C.
