So today is the day when I tried to rest my legs on this chair. It is hard to believe but somehow I managed to break the foot rest plastic. On a close look, I can definitely see the foot rest if made of cheap plastic and the plastic piece itself is hollow from inside. I didn't realize that at least one other review describes the same issue with this chair. Overall the chair is comfortable, however, I feel the quality is not as good as it seems in the online description and pictures.

Assuming this is a gaming chair was your first mistake. Gamers like myself spend hours playing and streaming. With that being said, there is not enough padding in this chair and it makes it unbearable to sit for long periods of time. I contemplate throwing it away had i not spent so much money on the chair.

The reason I bought this chair was to match my desk setup. I really like the feature where you can recline back if you want to relax. When I put it together, which was pretty easy, and started to test it out was when I realized it was not a good chair. First of all there is not enough padding on the seat and after about 30 minutes of sitting in it was when it felt like I was sitting on a metal bleacher. The other thing that was not great was the foot rest. It only extended out far enough to rest the bend of you leg on it which was very uncomfortable. The foot rest also was in the way when you were not using it because if you can't really keep you feet under the chair because of the foot rest. The only thing good that came from the chair was the lumbar pillow which had a lot of foam support (too much in my opinion) and the fact the back of the chair is mesh which allows the air to travel through it and keep your back cool while sitting in the chair. Overall it is not a good chair for sitting in for more than an hour which is why I returned it the next day and went and bought one from staples when you can actually sit in the chair to try it before you buy it.

Bought as B-day gift for hubby. Naturally, destroying box in process of opening and assembling. Assembly was fairly easy. 1/2 way through, realized there was a piece missing, a plastic cover that attaches to the back to hide screws. Respawn said this model is exclusively for Sam's and they don't carry parts in stock. Advised to return to store for replacement. Sam's basically said same thing, so they could submit a claim for it. So I'd have to return my now already assembled chair to the store, to get another one that would again require being assembled. Too many hoops to jump through when they could grab one from a box there in store, and write a claim for THAT chair instead. Chair is good, husband is happy to have a gaming chair now. Customer service aspect-NOT IMPRESSED. If you buy in store-open box and make sure ALL parts are there.

I bought this chair for my husband for a home office. He is of average weight and height. After a few months the chair started slipping down called customer service since it was still under warranty, what a waste of time you have to pay for the shipping both ways and they will fix it only if it is covered, if not you just wasted more money on shipping. Then a few days later it just snapped. Thank goodness for Sams Club, they let us return the chair. Never buy anything from this company!

I bought two of these on thanksgiving and cushion is completely pressed out after 6 months of regular use. Feels like seating on hard floor and gives back pain. I wonder how gamer's are suppose to use this as they tends to sit for longer time. I contacted sams club associated as it has 5 years of warranty, and no luck. Its been 2 months I have been calling them about this concern. every time I call them, they open new ticket and do nothing on it. Tried to talk to their manager about this, and she hung up on me about three times without listening to concern. I wonder if that's the usual behavior of sam's clubs service.

Pros: 1: The mesh back is nice, as it keeps your back cool if you sit for a long period of time. 2. I do like how it reclines. The chair locks in any position you wish for it to be in. With it unlocked, the back is extremely easy to move up and down, which may or may not be good, depending on perspective and needs. 3: The back moves down, while the seat part remains where it is. Cons: 1: The arm rests continually loosen. I have to tighten them a lot. I didn't mind this, as the way the back goes down is something I need. This is a problem I see many others have, so I know it is not unique to this particular one. 2: The arm rests are cracking and torn already, and it's only been under a year of having this chair. 3: The seat part of the chair is hard like other have said. Due to the arm rest cracking and tearing like it is, I would not recommend this chair to others.

I bought this chair for my new computer desk and gaming set up. I didn't really want the recliner portion but it was there. I had looked at many chairs and eventually sitting in chairs just became all the same. Exception being the cost. Even the $400 were not that impressive for the price. I bought this chair in the box and decided to just take my chances because the price was right and I didn't expect it to be too much different than the others. I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be one of my favorites of all the chairs I tried out. I don't use the pillow back because I have longer legs and love the fact that without it the seat is long enough for leg support. I like the air back which keeps my back cool when I am sitting for long hours of gaming. The arms are closed in in which is a great feature if you use a corded headset. You won't stand up with your cord wrapped around the arm of the chair and yank your headset off your head. The seat is firm but comfortable. It's not a rock but it's not so soft you can't sit properly at your desk. And then there is the bonus feature of the recliner and foot rest. Like I said, I didn't expect to need this but I sure do love it when I take short breaks (usually when I need to fly to another continent or waiting to, you guessed, respawn). It's a wonderful chair.

If you are looking for a chair that last only for a year, then go ahead. If the price is below $80 then you can consider because the surface and materials will fall off and it's look disgusting. The top material on armrest falls apart, the top material on seat cushion falls apart. Every parts that my skins will touch the “leather” all falls apart completely wear off. Anyone know how to file a refund? Bought it in 01/2021.

I bought this in-store about a month ago. I had heard that Respawn chairs were overrated, but it seemed like a good price, and I'm not generally picky about chairs. I don't have back/muscle problems or anything like that. Turns out, this chair feels like you are sitting on a flat piece of plywood, which I'm pretty sure is actually the case. The thick foam padding that you see on the seat of the chair is deceiving because it so soft and spongy that you sink right through it. It's hard to tell it's even there.
