I'll never buy another brand again!

It was time to start searching for tires for my BMW 550i. Based off my experience with my X5 (Michelin MXV4+), I knew that I absolutely loved Michelin's quality, performance, comfort, and overall feel. In my search for tires I discovered there was a new animal in the game, the Pilot Super Sport. After reading reviews from many of the major automobile magazines, I decided to get the PSS. WOW!!! These tires are amazing! It's hard to believe that Michelin could produce a better tire than the PS2, but they did! In fact, not only is it a better performing tire in every aspect, it gets 10% better mileage on the road and 50% better mileage on the track! 100% satisfied with my purchase and Michelin has gained a customer for life!

Excellent

Had this put on my 2010 Corvette Grand Sport and man what a difference! The original tires were the worst tires I have ever owned in that whenever they hit an imperfection, or a grove in the road, it would slam you to that side. With these tires the car feels like a completely different car, great ride and no pulling to one side or the other. I was going to sale my car but now I'm keeping it!

A lot of tire for the money.

I own a BMW 330ci. The Michelin Super Sport seem to be a perfect fit for my car. They are quiet and provide a comfortable ride with a sidewall that compliments the sport suspension with better compliance over sharp bumps compared to other tires I have used. The handling is just exceptional and I am most impressed because the grip is so sticky and, yet, wear is negligible after several thousand miles. And the price was right. My aim is to provide honest feedback and, to be honest, I cannot find a thing wrong with my Pilot Super Sports. I am completely satisfied with their performance and would buy them again.

Dry or wet, grips like a cat

2 door coupe, 5.0L V-8, rear wheel drive. Looking for traction in dry or wet conditions, no cold weather here. Installed on all four; F 225/40R18, R 255/35R18. The Pilot Super Sport gives me ride, handling, predictability. Yes, I *can* break them loose, but I have to consciously want to. Otherwise, starting, stopping and cornering is sure-footed. 8,270 miles now, still look new even with *some* abuse. ;)

Outstanding handling and performance

I run the Super Sport on a 2018 BMW M6, and I wouldn't consider any other tire for that vehicle. I've tried Firestone, Continental and Hancook, and none of them handled nearly as well as the Michelin. The rubber is soft so you don't get great mileage out of them, but if you're buying a tires for that reason get a Honda. The BMW is all about performance, and this the tire that will handle the best.

Great performance tires

The Pilot Super Sports are great tires. The handling and breaking with them has been great. I actually felt an improvement with my car going to them over the stock PS2s that came on it. They're also quieter which is nice. I'd rather listen to my engine note than the road. :) My only complaint on them is wear. I'm burning through my rear tires fairly quickly with normal use, no track use. I'm on my 3rd set of rears now with the first 2 sets only getting about 9k miles each. The front tires are still going strong though with about 18k on them. When I just replaced the rears they still had 60% tread. Don't let that scare you off though. They're well worth it if you have a high performance car. The performance, ride, and road noise with them is worth the possible shorter life on the rears and you can probably get better life by rotating. I run staggered, so I can't rotate. I highly recommend them.

Very dissapointed

Bought a full set around 9 months ago. I have 15 mile roundtrip commute 4 days a week and have only been out of town twice (less then 600 miles total). My rear tires have lost ALL there tread down to the wire. My mechanic looked over my vehicle for any mechanical issues that could have caused this and there are none. The tires look like a teenager has been peeling out/ burning rubber with them. I had them replaced with a completely different brand of tires. I am very disappointed, especially since my Michelin tires that I had before lasted me 3 years!

Transforms good into wow

Got a new 2011 Audi A4 loaded. The car handled ok until the sidewall blew out on 1 tire at 6k miles. Researched 245/40 R 18 fitments and saw the rave reviews about the Michelin Pilot Super Sport tireline. Bought the tires and they transformed the ride, which was already good. As the ratings show some comfort is lost but handling particularly into corners is top notch. The first thing you notice after driving a few miles is that the tires are warm and become very sticky and picked up grit off my driveway. I was already feeling like an F1 driver! If I wanted to wander up and down the freeway all day then the 30k warrantly might scare you off but as I do 10k miles a year I wanted to get everything out of the car as these tires allow me to do that.

Terrible Tred Wear

I normally put about 7,000 miles a year on this car. Mostly driven on short trips. Last year drove across country, about 7300 miles. The car handles well, but the wear factor is awful. After less than12,000 I am almost down to the wear bar. Needless to say I am looking for another brand of tire that will give longer tred wear.

OUTSTANDING TIRE FOR TRACK USE

I JUST FINISHED A FULL TRACK DAY IN MY SATURN SKY RACE CAR EQUIPPED WITH PILOT SUPER SPORTS. THESE TIRES HELD UP BETTER THAN ANY OTHER STREET TIRE I'VE EVER USED FOR TRACK. THEY WERE VERY PREDICTABLE AND HAD EXCELLENT GRIP, EVEN WHEN HOT. WITH A PROPER TRACK ALIGNMENT, THEY WEAR EXTREMELY EVEN. STARTING THE DAY, TREADWEAR WAS 9/32. BY THE END OF THE DAY, THEY WERE WORN TO 7/32 ALL THE WAY ACROSS. BY THE THIRD SESSION, I WAS DRIFTING CORNERS DUE TO THE LEVEL OF CONFIDENCE THESE TIRES GAVE ME. EXCELLENT TIRE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. THANK YOU MICHELIN FOR ANOTHER GREAT TIRE.
