Look else where, trust the 1 star reviews

Just a gawd awful tire. Won't balance out, has vibrations from the tires being out of round, absolutely horrible snow/ice/rain traction. How Michelin could stand being this tire as bad as it is and still have it on the market baffles me. Only driven 3,000 miles on my 2022 Frontier (certified pre-owned) since I have owned it for a few months and now looking for a superior option!

Best tire for short trips

First off, this tire has a bad reputation. I think the reason people don’t like it, is they’re using it for the wrong purpose. The Primacy is not for off road use. It will perform well for long trips, but its life won’t last like the defenders. This is a fuel efficient tire-low rolling resistance. It is best suited for stop/start city driving, and/or highway driving if you are going to drive less than 55,000 miles in 5-7 years. 7 years is about as long as you want to keep any tire on the road; thanks to the sun and oxygen in the air.

Surprised & Disappointed!

These Primacy LTX tires came on our 2021 Kia Telluride that we bought new. I recently noticed a puncture in the sidewall on one tire. It almost looks like the rubber split. It looks pretty deep but the tire is still holding air. This is my wife's car and she drives on the interstate a lot; Needless to say I'm concerned that this tire could burst at any moment. My wife says she hasn't hit anything that could cause this damage. Also, there isn't any damage to the wheel. After reading a lot of other reviews I'm compelled to think that this is a faulty tire design or quality escape from Michelin. Since this is a safety issue I have to replace this tire and given that our Kia is AWD, it looks like I'll be replacing all 4 tires that don't even have 30k miles on them. I had previously held Michelin in high regard but have lost confidence in them after this.

Echo 5 Tango, we certainly understand your concern. We would recommend having the tire inspected by an authorized Michelin retailer in your area, and have the dealer call us while you are there.

Great, awesome say whatever good you want.

I love these tires. I have a suburban and the tires have lasted well until 99000 miles. Never had an issue. Only times were when the tires had nails or pieces of glasses. But these are wonderful tires. Provides great response in all weather. I drive for work with VIP clients and I am always on the road. Drive at-least 100 to 150 miles a day. Thank you Michelin.

Blew out on new car after 6k miles, defective sidewall

Bought a brand new 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L in September 2023. My wife put about 6k miles on the car, and this back right tire blew out while she was driving on the highway. Never any off-roading. No impact to cause the blowout. Clearly a defective sidewall. Very disappointed, and this defect could have killed my pregnant wife were it not for her quick reflexes to pull over immediately.

Great Features on this product but... maybe a version 2

These tires 245/50R20 came installed in my 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz Limited. I already have 40K miles on it, and the handling on those are pretty amazing, on highway and paved roads, handling is excellent on curves and braking, is a smooth quiet tire and very precise while driving dry surfaces. Last winter went thru light snow in NC, VA for an All-Season tire was excellent. My only concern with this tire is Hydroplanning, they are average on wet surfaces and I want to replace them soon with a better Michelin product, so I will need Michelin advice in order to do that.

No good

I bought my new grand Cherokee and I thought for weeks something was wrong with my brand new jeep turns out these tires were doing the same thing but flattening out during cold temps and bouncing. It was horrible. I looking to buy new tires for this vehicle already.

Thumbs down

These tires came new on my 2023 Frontier SV. I just purchased the vehicle off lease with 12k miles. Who would have ever expected a set of like new tires could make a vehicle unsafe. Traction is really bad as states in other reviews and they make the vehicle wander on certain grooved roads. They are unacceptable in the wet and cold. Pulling out on a hill into traffic I was expecting to go but just spun.I’m scared to even think of driving in the snow with these. In the past I had a set of Michelin trail tires that were great. What went on with this design. I’m surprised the Michelin name would be allowed on these.

Terrible in the snow. The "all weather" description is misleading.

Our first significant snowfall in NW Pa this weekend and I have gotten stuck once while other 4wd's were able to go through the same snow, and lost control twice due to spin out and inability to brake. These tires came on my new Silverado EV and I am heading to the Chevrolet dealers tomorrow to lodge an official complaint with General Motors and to replace these tires. I have been driving for 50 years with nine different trucks in all kinds of weather in NW Pa and I have never had a worse tire on a truck than these for performance in the snow. I cannot believe GM would put them on a vehicle as standard equipment.

None Better

As is the case with any car I purchase if it is not equipped with Michelin tires I start shopping immediately as with the case with my 2018 Terrain. I have had Michelin tires installed on other vehicles and the ride, handling, and tire life can`t be matched. Will not purchase any other brand than Michelin. Have had "top brands" in the past and they in n way stand up to the Michelins. The Primacy LTX tires are more than living up to expectations.
