[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the DKNY Bike Short- Black, Medium in exchange for my honest opinion. These are really high quality performance wear! The shorts have black stitching on solid black fabric, so are very classic looking. They have a pocket which is a huge plus for storage. They do have a front seam but it didn’t cause any wear issues for me. The sizing is consistent with most other brands - they don’t squeeze the thighs which is a nice plus. They stretch nicely for activities where that is necessary, and the fabric is thick enough that it does not sheer out. The logo is on the back near the center of the waist which is a good location. Overall a great choice for an athletic short!

The reason for 4/5 stars is that they do get stretched out and don’t retain their shape super well until I washed again.

I received a medium, and I usually wear small, so when they arrived, I had that ugh moment, you know? But here's the thing: I tried them on anyway, and they actually fit… comfortably. Like, surprisingly comfortable. They're definitely not skin-tight, which, let's be honest, is a blessing at my age. They're a little bit looser than I'd normally go for, especially around the leg, but it's not a bad thing. It’s more of a relaxed fit, which is perfect for running errands or chasing after the kids at the park. I'm trying to, you know, maintain a semblance of fitness. Between carpooling, PTA, and keeping up with the kids, squeezing in a workout is a victory in itself. So, comfy activewear is a MUST. The material is really nice – it’s that stretchy, breathable fabric that doesn’t feel clingy or sweaty, even when I'm doing a high-intensity workout (which, let’s be real, is mostly just trying to keep up with my kids on their bikes). They’ve got a nice wide waistband that doesn’t dig in, which is a huge plus. No muffin top situation happening here! I was worried about them riding up since they are a bit bigger than expected, but they stay put pretty well. I’ve worn them for everything from yoga to a quick jog around the neighborhood, and I haven't had to constantly adjust them, which is a major win. So, even though they’re technically a size bigger, they’ve become my new favorite pair of shorts. It’s like a happy accident. They’re comfortable, they’re practical, and they don't make me feel like I'm trying too hard. Plus, the slightly looser fit is actually kind of flattering. It’s like they’re saying, “Yeah, I work out, but I also enjoy a good glass of wine and a Netflix binge.” Which, let’s be real, is the perfect balance. So, I’m calling it a win. Sometimes, a little bit of extra room is exactly what you need.

Prevents annoying and painful chafing 😄 Material is smooth and soft and feels great on the skin, would purchase!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a big fan of bike shorts in general - I wear them regularly under my performer outfits - and I liked these a lot! Love how soft the material is. They’re a good length to be able to wear under other clothes but also long enough to wear on their own. I got the medium and I found that the thigh hem is quite roomy and comfortable. It’s definitely not as tight around the thigh as some other bike shorts I own. I appreciate the pocket (there’s only one on the left). It’s deep enough that my phone won’t fall out, though as a left handed person it does feel a bit backwards. I usually hold my phone with my right hand and put it in my right pocket. The waistline is also comfortable once it’s on, but it can be a bit of a struggle to get on over the rear. Common issue with this type of garment though. The one thing I really don’t like is that the waist panel is too tall. They are high waisted, but the bottom seam on the waist panel dips down to an awkward point (I think it looks fine, it just feels weird). But I also am very short (5’1”). I can see it being properly positioned on a taller person. I ran them through the wash and they held up well. Overall I’ll definitely continue to use them.
