I drive 65k miles a year. The current set of CrossClimate 2 have 80k miles on them. I rotate these tires with each oil change every 5k miles. This set still has 6/32’s tread left on all 4 tires. I drive a front wheel drive Camry and I was able to safely travel with 6+ inches of snow this year on several occasions. I would not buy another tire knowing the abilities of these tires. I was very, very happy to get my new tires. They are truly excellent. They were a bit noisy at first, but after about 1000 km they lost their road noise. The handling is wonderful, and I feel comforted that they will give me the traction I need especially during winter, when icy roads surprise us. I think that this is a great tire! I replaced my Michelin Defenders with the Cross Climate 2. The traction seems much better and I haven’t noticed a significant interior noise increase from them in comparison. At first, based on some reviews, I had some concerns. What are difference tires make! I bought these for my Scion XD, and I notice a difference is most aspects of my driving. I also bought wheels that were slightly wider. The grip is so different. My car is more steady, and doesn't shift at the slightest twist of the steering wheel. I have better traction in cornering, even at low speeds. The ride is smooth and quiet! In the rain, I've had no issues and dont feel.like i have to try to avoid standing water in ruts. I have better traction taking off. My CC2s have 92,000 miles on them. Current wear pattern is perfect, 4/32 left. A smooth ride still. Road noise is relative to type of road but generally mostly quiet. only issue was a slight hydro plane during moderate rain fall which i experienced from date of purchase.
