I had to get new tires for my Wife’s Elantra. The Cooper CS5 tires that I had put on the car 4/5 years ago had finally gone past the point of no return. The Michelin Defender 2’s have been a great addition. So far the traction has been great considering the snow we’ve had lately. The road noise on dry pavement isn’t too bad. I’ve had other tires a little quieter, but overall not bad. Time will tell how long they will last though. It will take a few years to get the mileage racked up.

Very quiet and smooth. I love the way they handle. I live in a hilly / mountainous terrain where we get all four seasons. Recently we had a significant snow fall and we had to make a sudden stop due on the freeway. I was thankful that we had the Michelin Defender 2's. We stopped on a dime without any slippage. I can't comment on wear and durability because I haven't had them long enough but from other reviews that I've read from many sources, these were the "BEST" Recommended tire for my vehicle (Subaru Ascent). I upgraded to Defender2 tires and and happy so far. Ride is not only more quiet but is also smoother. A little better on gas mileage. Design seems good for my area of usage, construction and materials so far are holding up well, I have had them rotated once. They were more expensive than other choices but so far worth it. I was eligible for a discount given as a gift card and am not as satisfied with that option because I was only able to use it for the exact amount issued. This is almost impossible to do so I will have to leave a small amount left on the gift card. Michelin needs to change this to allow customers to use all of the discount given on the card.

Having sold Michelin tires for about 30 years I know these tires perform better than any other tires. Better stopping, starting and fuel efficiency are the hallmarks of Michelin products. They improve the ride quality and overall performance of my car.

Factory tires had worn and was time to replace. Did lots of research before buying and these seemed to fit my needs (Quit, smooth ride with a good tread life.) The Defender 2 has not disappointed. Minimal, if any road noise, smooth ride and excellent grip in rain and snow. You get what you pay for and in this case, these were a bit more than others, but well worth the money spent.

We just got these so we’ve only put a few miles on them tires but they are much quieter than the continental tires we had been buying. They seem to ride nicely as well and look much meatier too. I’m sure I’ll be kicking myself for not paying the extra price for Michelins years ago.

The Defender LTX M/S 2 is a good tire,not a great tire. They are a noisy tire. They are not much less quiet than a AT tire. This new design is not as quiet as the lower design. When cold they vibrate alot. I'm not very impressed with them. I think Michelin needs the rethink the design for road noise.

I only buy Michelin tires from an authorized Michelin dealer. The Defender 2 and th Defender LTX are my goto tires. Smooth riding, quiet, traction, and durability are second to none in my book. Also, my local dealer has a lot to do with it as well. Good people, helpful, and I've been dealing with them for a long time.

I have purchased Defender tires for 20+ years and these Defender2 tires are outstanding for performance and the ride and control are excellent. Best tire in snow and they give you confidence because they hold the road so well. The only tire I will put on my cars.

Very quiet tire but very poor grip and a weak sidewall. These are probably great for high milage fleet vehicles or rentals but not for any vehicle one might drive spiritedly. Do not drive these hard in the rain, you may die. I replaced a set of Yokohama's with these and to be honest, I got better performance from the worn out Yok's. Now I know these are not a performance grade tire by any means, but I did expect a little better from Michelin.
