Only recieved it yesterday. Your page said it would be here on Sept. 21 but it wasn't delivered til Monday, Sept. 28. I wish it set up a little bit higher, just a few inches. As it is it is to low to get a bucket under the spiget. We bought bricks to elevate it enough for bucket clearance. My son noticed that the hole for the spiget is drilled a little crooked, tilted to the side. It still works fine. Can't wait for rain to come so we can test how it works.

Overall we're pleased with this rain barrel, but there are a few things that could improve it. First - as others have pointed out they didn't clean out the barrel after cutting the hole for rain to enter which could cause the faucet to clog later on in use (plastic debris). Second - they cut a round hole for rain to enter but most downspouts are square. First thing I did was remove the screen, use my Dremel with a cutting wheel to cut out a square hole and then vacuum out the debris (theirs and mine). The design could be improved by recessing the area where rain enters (so its less likely to overflow) and adding a large drain plug in the back for winter cleanout/storage.

The rain barrel is a good product and very easy to install. The biggest draw back was Wal-Mart sent a used one instead of a new one. I little frustrating, but it works just fine. The brass spigot is good quality. There isnt a drain plug for the planter, but there is a overflow that will drain out the excess. I think it gives a nice touch to my home.

The screen over the hole at the top of the rain barrel needs to have bigger holes and sit much lower. With the original screen the water tended to go around the hole and then get directed to the overflow, even when the barrel is not full. I removed and discarded the original plastic screen and replaced it with some window screen. One might also partially block the over flow pathways so that the are used only when the barrel is completely full.

This is my second time buying this rain barrel -- I love the color because it matches my house perfectly. The spigot is pretty slow, but my father in law fixed it pretty easily and inexpensively with a new one from Home Depot. My last one cracked on the the bottom (there is an indented area) but we think it is because it wasn't properly supported when my husband built a platform for it to rest on. Without a platform (we just used brick pavers) the spigot is pretty low to the ground and can only be used with small buckets.

OVERALL this has been what I was looking for. We live in a HOA so I wanted something to not look like a rain barrel. In reading other reviews, we knew that cross threading when attaching the faucet was an issue. So with that knowledge we were extra careful but, it still happened,so off to the store to get a connection to attach the faucet. Other than that it has performed satisfactorily .

Other than the plastic fitting the rain barrel is a great design and size. 65 gallons is much larger than many which are 45 or 50 gallons. Mine filled with just 1/2 inch of rain. Shape and color are much more attractive than other rain barrels that we saw. Instruction did not make attachment of spigot clear. It just said to "wrap plumbers tape counter clockwise" and nothing else. My first attempt to attach the spigot leaked and since it is a plastic fitting and it was cross threaded, it could not be fixed. Replacement worked okay. Use a lot of the supplied plumbers tape and apply it counterclockwise. Apply spigot clockwise by hand. I put barrel on its back to make sure that it was square with the plastic fitting. If fitting was metal or more solid plastic it would be better but this is good value for the cost and Walmart replaced the defective unit quickly. What more could we ask?

I looked at several rain barrels before deciding on this one. It is well built and as an additional feature, it can be disguised as a planter in your garden or patio area. I would definitely recommend this product. It will be wonderful to use rain water to water our gardens. Love this style!

Upon initial inspection, they looked fine. But then we found a piece of tubing that we didn't know what it belonged to so we started looking at it more carefully. The product had a indentation on top for the placement of a plant with built in weep holes for drainage out the backside. The weepholes were formed incorrectly and if we had used it, would have let dirty water weep into the clean water area. When we saw the weepholes, they looked like an animal had gnawed the tubes, which is kind of impossible since they are inside the units, but what's probably the problem is the plastic molding process didn't work correctly. Then when we went to return them last night, it took the store and 5 different managers and employees to get us our refund. Not happy right now, at all. And this is the 2nd attempt to get these.

Got this on April 7, had gutters installed May 10, rained enough May 13 to fill it 1/3 and there’s a pin-hole leak.
