The figs were packed individually in a clear plastic egg like carton which protected them from any bruising which is the problem with such delicate fruits. There were 24 figs in the carton and not a single one was bruised or damaged, which for fresh figs purchased is very rare. The taste is classic black mission fig which is excellent and all held up in the refrigerator over the 2 weeks I had them.
