I'm 8.5 wide. Size 9 fits. These are like almost like Keens with the wider toe box. Not for ballerina feet. Perfect for hiking around the yard or hiking through Sam's or walking my dog. Good enough for walking modern day trails made if flat ground gravel and small pebbles like rails to trails. For hiking off the trails I wear half to full size actual boots. I like how the heal is higher than the front of the foot. That's where my feet get fatigued the most. I like the fact they are slip ons. With most shoes including Merrell and Keen laces get loose and/or have to be tightened or re-tied. I recommend. I bought both Taupe and gunsmoke. Considering returning the taupe because they are lighter than I thought and I am not into cleaning shoes. Waterproofed the gunsmoke, to help keep them clean. The taupe is a nice looking color though.
