[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These really are tuff, I always break a plastic pencil but i havent had that problem, i like all the colors that come in the package, easy to find refills and overall great writing utensil, i believe we could get more items for the amount we pay for it

My 13 year old son prefers "mechanical pencils" over wooden pencils and BIC is the brand we normally purchase. This 10 pack comes in a variety of colors. They write very smoothly, erase easily and the lead doesn't break easily. I highly recommend these for students because they are sturdy and work well. Will continue to purchase.

My son is very rough with his writing utensils & he's very pleased that they don't break easily. He could definitely tell a huge difference in lead strength from his original mechanical pencil to this extra strong one. We will definitely be purchasing these for school supplies from now on.

I am one of those people that are prone to use too much force while writing and the leads on usual mechanical pencils keep breaking on me. These leads are amazing! I haven't had a single one break on me so far. I like using pencils to write because I write more clearly and it is easier to erase your errors than white them out. I would highly recommend these xtra strong mechanical pencils to anyone who likes writing, especially if you have problems with normal leads breaking on you!

With two teens in the house, we go through a LOT of mechanical pencils during the school year. These definitely stand up to frequent use better than standard mechanical pencils. Definitely recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter was so excited to use these Bic mechanical pencils. She said some kids in her class had these and she was excited to try these out. They write nicely and not much pressure is needed for the lead to show up on paper. They also retract easily and they come in a variety of cool colors. The lead is pretty thick and my daughter or myself didn’t have any problems with the lead breaking. They erase nicely with barely any trace of the writing on paper. The only thing I couldn’t figure out with these mechanical pencils is if they’re refillable? I didn’t see anything on the packaging to indicate they are and I didn’t want to break the pencil by trying. I’d purchase these again and would recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i am always a pencil lover! especially when they are mechanical pencils! the pencils write quite well and i don’t feel like the lead will break as easily as other pencils sometimes do. i also love the color of these pencils as they are so cut and colorful!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use the BIC-Xtra Strong MP mechanical pencils for my everyday notes. I tried putting different pressures on the lead to see if it would break. The lead is very strong. It only broke at a very strong pressure- I mean I was really digging into the paper with it before it broke. The only thing is, if you put a lot of pressure on it, it will also be harder for you to erase. Light pressure on the lead is the easiest to erase.
