All I had to do was pour some of the pellets into the lid and then pour those into the washing machine with my laundry detergent. It leaves no residue and keeps your clothes smelling fresh. These are a staple in my laundry routine, but I've also combined the beads with warm water to make a fabric refresher spray, and I put that on basically anything/everything fabric in our house. The spray doesn't leave any sort of residue, just leaves the fabric smelling fresh & delicious. I love how long the scent lasts on our laundry, particularly our towels, and I never get tired of it. I know for sure I'll be using these as long as Downy keeps making them!

Surprisingly, after a week the fresh scent was still lasting on my active wear and towels.
