I don’t know what happened to the special K but lately when I’m eating it there are these little hard pieces, They don’t break down at all. I don’t know what they’ve changed, but I’ll have to find another go to cereal. If you ever put it back to how it was, please let me know.

I like other reviewers here am extremely upset about the consistency of this cereal. This is not just a bad batch situation. Every bite of every box has these pieces. One bite actually broke my filling. Dental work is expensive and this needs to be remedied...yesterday.

I am SO sad and disappointed. I would proclaim from a mountaintop that Special K is and has been my favorite cereal for 30 years but my last 5 boxes have had COMPLETELY INEDIBLE rock hard pieces in every single bite thah I either have to focus to crack apart or spit out. I am shocked that the quality has changed so drastically and judging by everyone else’s reviews this is a KNOWN problem. Kellogg’s needs to recognize this issue and rectify it, or else we will all stop buying it.

However, the way they market the 13 g of protein is a little bit confusing because 6 g of that comes from the milk. But I’d buy again my family seems to like it.

I understand what people are saying when they complain about the hard pieces and the dust at the bottom fo the box. For god's sake, I broke my tooth on one of those pieces. However, this still is and will always be the greatest breakfast item of all time.

It is not pleasant to bite down on the hard bits found in this cereal. See other reviewers with the same issue by putting "hard bits" in the search box. They appear to be a seed or part of a seed? I would love to hear from Kelloggs what the bits are. I appreciate this might be a "whole grain" but I still don't like them. I have not noticed them in the red berry Special K so I guess I'll stop buying the Original.

I’d recommend adding some fruit or berries just to spice it up. Health wise it is a good option for the cost. The packaging is convenient and you do get a lot of cereal for your money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product tastes like other typical rice based cereals, flavor wise it holds its own against competing brands. However, one of my favorite parts of other rice based cereals is that you can use them in other recipes very easily. The shape of these removes the ability to use the cereal for some of those delicious other recipes. I'm also a person who routinely eats dry cereal in bed, so the size of the pieces matters a great deal. These smaller pieces also allow for the opportunity to be dropped more often or accidentally broken into even smaller pieces making my bed a mess (Lesson learned - no frosted flakes in bed).
