Upon opening and trying to connect it was apparent that I was operating a *used* pair of headphones. They will not charge or hold a charge and come up on my device as someone else's headphones. Highly disappointed as these were an enormous splurge for me!

What can you say?  Expensive?  Yes!  Quality?  Yes!  Full of features?  Yes!  It's exactly what you'd expect from Apple and they do not disappoint.  The integration with your phone, and Apple TV box is amazing.  The ear cup pads have a fabric cover, not vinyl or leather and that is much appreciated.  Only headphones I know of that have that.  

PLUS you can connect your phone to the headphones with USB C cable and get lossless audio from at least Apple Music.  I can tell the difference, it sounds better albeit most won't care or notice.
