Upgrade for Sure

Have a 2013 RAV4 and when we replaced the tires that came on Toyota, we used a premier tire that we have been brand loyal to... hint, begins with "M". We aren't disloyal, but had so much road noise, and not a smooth drive. Began to to consider Goodyear brand, as it's reputable, premier, and used in NASCAR, so I decided this would be my next brand. Love the Goodyear Assurance Comfort for All Season driving and sold on the brand for future purchases. We live in NC mountains and I feel safe & confident in all driving conditions since purchasing 6 months ago. Have heard the same from our mechanic, as well as the tire store that we used, they too changed from "M" to Goodyear. Can't comment on other makes & models or trucks, but for RAV4, it's certainly an upgrade!

Best Darn tires I have ever owned! Period!

These tires came on my 2017 Subaru Legacy new. I have 90,000 miles on the vehicle and I have to finally part ways with the tires. Yes, you read that correctly 90,000 miles. I am the worst customer a tire has ever seen, I don't rotate when I should, I hit curbs all the time, drive aggressively when I am in a hurry (I am in a hurry quite a bit.) and I have not had the car aligned to date. In the summer I drive in torrential thunder storms at least twice a week. All other cars including 4WD pickup trucks, Compact SUV's and full size SUV's are driving down the interstate at 25 miles per hour. I get to buzz along between 60 and 70 MPH in these conditions. I hydroplaned for the first time two weeks ago, time for a new set. They are a bit expensive; however, one would have be a fool not to buy Goodyer comfort drive tires.

Terrible life on this model tire

I purchase this model of tire thinking being the first came out. Lol so 2 set of tires are really but 2 other tires are just almost bald and I even rotated the tires, balances and alignments. These tires are highway driven. But buyer beware but what is funny. I ask my brother who works at the Goodyear Plant and he said that is why I don't buy Goodyear tires. He buys Hankook tires for his car. Well lesson learned too funny my brother doesn't like Goodyear tires and he works for them. He said that Goodyear tires are trash and I wasted money on a set of 4. No more business from me on Goodyear tires for daily driving. Had these tires for about 1 1/2 years. Not cool

Proof that you can be too good at your job

While it may sound like I am talking out of both sides of my mouth, what I love about these tires is also what I hate about them. They deaden everything. On a nice sunny day drive this is perfect. In heavy rain, not being able to feel the road is a major downside to me. I previously had the Comfortred touring and these are supposed to have replaced them as an "upgrade" I can tell you that the Comfortred touring was 100% the superior tire. These are very good tires and I have never lost traction even in the heaviest rain. Zero hydroplaning incidents. Just not being able to feel the road during a gully washer is a major negative to me. Not sad that I bought them, but also wouldn't recommend or buy them again either.

Good tire but lost MPG

Review is based on 3 weeks of driving in Toyota Highlander AWD Hybrid. Good handling and traction on dry and wet roads (no snow roads yet). Low road noise. My only concern after 700 miles is the reduction in MPG. Went from 36 MPG to 33.7MPG. Also, the PSI in these tires during the first week varied a lot with 20-degree temperature swings. Seems to have leveled out now but will keep an eye on it.

Great tires if you don't care about MPG

I had 4 Goodyear Assurance ComfortDrive tires installed a month ago. They're definitely smooth and quiet, but my gas mileage took a 10% dive. I took a 400-mile freeway trip on my old tires and saw 37.7mpg in my 2018 CR-V. With these new tires, I could barely manage 34mpg. Same drive, same speed, same weather, same car, same 35psi. I'm stuck with these tires for the next 5 years or so and the money I'll be losing on gas is a huge disappointment.

A perfect tire

I have been in the Automotive field for over 40 years as a Mechanic then a Service Director and a Automotive reviewer - this tire handles great in rain , the most forgiving harsh pot hole ride, and by far the quietest ride, I had Michelins on my latest sedan and they were pretty quiet but these ComfotDrive's tires are 8 decibel lower when comparing a tires with 5-6,000 miles on them with my meter .I will see how they are in the snow this winter - they should be good because they have the deepest grooves/ tread of any all-season out there .I will update after this winter season.

Very Nice Tires....would definitely recommend

Size Tire is 255-19-40. Goodyear Comfort Ride. Got this tires in Sept. 2022. I have always had Michelin Tires for 20 years. I wont anymore. I have a "sport" suspension so it is a little stiffer ride, but I put on these Goodyear Comfort Ride tires and I really notice the difference in a nice smoother ride. I like them better for several reasons: 1) The ride is much nicer (not as stiff) and much quieter . 2)The Winter traction is MUCH BETTER and handles great. 3) The treadwear is 60,000 miles whereas the Michelin were 45,000 miles. My Michelin tires didnt even come close to the treadwear warranty. I had to replace them at 32,000....that has been an issue for Michelin over the past years if you read other comments about them and their tire warranty issues. 4) Rain traction is wonderful. Only negative : Handling on dry pavement on sharp turns is not as nice (but I am not a fast driver) and I get overall 2-3 less mpg on these tires. I will put them on my wife's car next.

Poor gas mileage

These tires give a smooth ride and are super quiet but the gas mileage is awful. I make the same trip regularly, setting my cruise control on the same speed every time. I went from getting over 37 mpg on the trip to 32 mpg on these tires. That's a big difference. I hear that others have the same problem. I regret my purchase!

Now I Can Keep My 2018 Honda Accord Touring

The 19" wheels on my 2018 Honda Accord Touring made the ride harsh, and the OEM tires were very loud. I was almost ready to sell or trade it in. These tires made a HUGE difference. Not only is the road noise completely gone, I can now take small bumps easily and the ride is so much more comfortable. These tires work great just as advertised. Highly recommend. P.S. - I really can't comment no tread life or winter traction at this point since I haven't had them long enough.
