Poor workmanship

Good design but use of cheap materials and poor workmanship makes it unusable. The assembly instructions are terrible. After assembling the seat adjustment won't work as a part on the main frame is welded crooked. They are sending me replacement frame, but it will require complete disassembly and reassembly with a hope it will work this time. When it's all done, it would have been 4 weeks since my order. Disappointing.

UNKNOWN IF BENCH IS GOOD OR NOT

First I want to say that I ordered some other items from Walmart, and the order came two days before expected delivery date, and was in perfect condition. Fast forward to me ordering the Marcy Bench and all I can say is disappointed doesn't even begin to state how I feel. I was getting another bench because my other bench is old and non-adjustable. Before I ordered the Marcy Bench I read a few reviews, most which were positive, but a few that were one or two stars. There was one review that stated that their box came tore and ripped up and the bench was damaged and missing pieces.; probably an anomaly due to the shipper. Boy was I wrong. I came home from work and there was the bench on my front porch, box ripped and crinkled, and it was obivous that my bench was terribly abused by the way the box looked. I do not want to even begin to think how many people who handeled it were too lazy and out of shape, and decided to just drag the box when it needed to be moved. How do I know, I use to deliver for a prominant delivery service and have seen the first hand affects of what a dragged box looks like; also almost evey corner of the box was sheared off, and there were rips and tears on whichever side it had been dragged on. The bench and box had been so mishandled that i didn't even need a pair of scissors or a box cutter to cut the tape because it was non exsistent; I was able to lift the top box off with ease because of the lack of tape. Due to the extreme mishandling of my bench and box, most of my bolts, nuts, allen keys, and screws are missing, and there are scratches and almost every piece of metal. Walmart says not to post about shipping problems, but I couldn't help it. When you are paying over $100 for a piece of equipment you would expect some better service from the shipping department.

Perfect weight bench

This is a perfect weight bench! It took my son and I 1 hour to assemble the bench. I love the fact that it has wheels so its easier to move around and that the back piece sets to flat and different inclines. You really can't beat the price for the quality of this weight bench. Highly recommend!

Great Price/Decent Product

Let me start with assembly. The directions are not very clear but thankfully you can pretty much figure it out without directions. Took me probably a little over an hour to assemble. No, I am not handy at all. If I can figure it out basically anyone can. You cannot beat the price that is for sure. I checked various prices before ordering this and based on features this is the best for the price. My complaint would be that it bounces a little while I am bench pressing. I only went up to 245 lbs. Overall, Pretty nice adjustable bench. Will do just fine for my little home gym.

Adjustable Utility Bench - Outstanding Product

After using this bench for my workout sessions this week, I feel that this is one of the best adjustable benches I have ever used. It ticks of all the boxes: - sturdy construction - wide padding - easy to adjust bench incline/decline - easy to adjust seat angle - easy to move around Assembly didnt take too long, and the instructions were fairly clear and easy to follow. Depending on your height you may find that the seat cushion is a bit low to the ground when you adjust the bench to 90 degree position. I am over 6 feet tall and find it about right for my needs, though. I really have no suggestions to improve the bench, other than perhaps to offer it with an all-black/solid color scheme (rather than the white trim). The bench is a very nice companion to Marcys home cage/rack system.

very wobbly

I bought it as a temporary bench knowing 100$ for an FID bench was going to be problematic the assembled it and it took me about an hour It was pretty leveled and the board that moves that you lay on was very straight and leveled after about a week using it - it started tilting to the side so it's un leveled and the whole bench started wobbling I figured that I assembled it wrong so I took it apart and it didn't do much the hole weren't aligned well with the pieces either so I had to force it together and even after the second time assembling it still went wobbly and un leveled note: I only wiegh 145LBs and do a max of 80LB dumbbells so that's about the limit I usually do half of that and the bench still went crooked I don't really recommend it but some people get lucky and get their pieces drilled right etc I just happened to get a bad one I guess definitely saving my money next time for a professional one it's a great bench for a beginner though

Good purchase

Good buy! Easy to move around in the gym, has small wheels on one end and handle on the other end to easily move it. Seat also inclines for preacher curls. The bench easily inclines and very sturdy. Husband said it was easy to assemble. I have looked for many months for an incline bench before choosing this one. Wanted to make sure I was getting the best bang for my buck! I use it in my home gym 6 days a week!

Very good, bang for the buck

I am 6'5, 250# and this thing fits great. Very good support, and height. Best unit I have found for a big guy. My wife loves it too, and she is 5'4 120#. Very good fit for us and the adjustments are easy to use.
